No you should worry. Arizona and Colorado are better than the Dodgers and there are other teams that will pass you for the wild card. But it doesn't matter. Kershaw would fold in the postseason like he always does. Your team just isn't as good as you guys think. The Cubs are winners. You guys are lossers.

Nah Colorado and Arizona's pitching won't hold up

 

Greinke is back but he's pretty much alone in Arizona and their pen is weak so yeah you could say they could fade. Colorado on the other hand have been missing their best picture Jon Gray, they're bullpen is very solid and Greg Holland has been terrific. Their every day line up at home or away is better than ours or at least more consistent. Plus Bud Black has experience over Dave and comes from a pitching background. I am hoping they fade but I'm not holding my breath.

 

Someone check Colorado's team meals. Something strange is going on there.

The Dodgers are loaded with rotation depth, of course, and their starters entered Saturday ranked fourth in the majors in ERA and first in FIP. Their bullpen has been similarly successful (third and first in those categories), but some members of the organization believe adding a left-handed reliever is a much bigger priority than picking up another starter, per Rosenthal.

No thanks. We have enough guys on the roster where you're holding your breath after every start, wondering if they'll make the next one. Yes, no pitcher is a certainty to stay healthy, but he falls into the Hill/McCarthy/Kazmir category of hand wringing if he's showing any signs of struggling. It's still early, but the team should not really be considering SP options at this point.
The biggest SP acquisition they could make, just pitched last night in AAA. If Urias gets his mechanics inline for the stretch run, the Dodgers have a dominant 1-2 with Kershaw and Urias. If Wood and McCarthy continue what they are doing, you would have the best 1-4 in baseball likely at that point. This doesn't include a potential transformed Kenta Maeda and the what if of Rich Hill. The team has the makings of a dominant rotation, I'm in no way a fan of cutting into the farm to make an upgrade that may be considered just somewhat nominal at this point.
Adding a big arm for the 8th is good enough for me, but the biggest prize is probably a corner OF bat that could play everyday and bat in the middle of the order.

Same. I don't care what the numbers say, I do not trust Pedro Baez against good hitting in the post. Get Robertson or somebody like Herrera, the former is having a better year.
Gonna be hard to find that impact OF bat unless say the Marlins wanna play ball on Ozuna or Stanton.
Or maybe JD Martinez could be a solid buy where the pool of interested teams are only willing to go so far because of his UFA status, he's having a solid year

 

I don't think I'm talking doomsday. I think we are the best of the 3 teams, but I also don't think 88-90 wins will win the division this year so we can't afford too many slumps. I actually think this could turn into a fun race this summer.
