Shouldn't be a total shock the Cubs would be in the market for another pitcher.

Both Lackey and Arrieta will be free agents in the off season.

Not necessarily shocked, they just don't have a whole lot left to deal from. Would guess that Schwarber would be headlining a deal. Their SP depth is pretty bad going forward.

Just took a look at Darvish and Hammels stats.....id take both but focus on Darvish. I know he has gotten lit up in the last 5 games but like it was said earlier a change of venue to netural/pitcher friendly Chavez Rav might do him some good. Also another point to consider.....Darvish might be a good chip to have IF Otani decides to post for MLB later this year/early next.

Fucks like this should have their contracts revoked. Injury is one thing, eating yourself into oblivion is another.

JT is a great storyline. Biggest oversight I can think of. Absolute must. Picked up at a Fullerton alumni game after being DFAd. He had better offers but accepted a minor league deal with the Dodgers because Ned made a great pitch. Then to become one of the best in MLB? Amazing. He's also a clubhouse culture changer from what I've heard. He personifies the new Dodgers.

    no thanks
i've already had to endure the disappointment of the last 28+ years once
i find no reason to want to go through it again
fuck piazza, fuck beltre... they're ex-dodgers and idgaf about either of them now
if/when we finally win a world series maybe i'll feel differently, but i doubt it
other cities might embrace a loveable loser mentality, but i fucken despise it
sorry man, slept shitty and had a rough morning so i'm full of rage

TBH, there's something suspicious about Sandoval. The way he always peaked in the postseason. Then after he signed a nice contract, he completely fell off in what should've been his prime years. His contract was a reach to begin with, seemed to be based on his postseason production more than his season production.

I don't want to come across as a sore loser about the giants WS runs, but unusual health in their pitching staff, players peaking at just the right time, players getting busted for steroids and others obviously doing something (Scutaro, maybe Sandoval?). It's hard to explain the drop-off in Sandoval's production, so I'm tempted to say it's the same thing that happened to Andruw Jones

Oh, and fuck Sandoval. Fuck the giants.
