pretty much. if they don't bring VMart back..then what?

a lot of things to fret about..having the 2 best hitters in all of baseball for the at least the next 2yrs is way down on the list.

couldn't i say the same in regards to yourself? we were past it, were we not? i mean i don't know about you, but i've been talking about the end result from the beginning. Chiefs gets it. the bottom line is that Stanton can still be moved and the Marlins could still rid themselves of his contract ASAP. yes, they'd have to get his permission..that's what " no trade clause " means, but if you agree that he'd likely grant trades to the handful of teams that can get a deal done, then there's nothing left to talk about. the end result is the same.

again, even without a no trade clause tied in, the contract in itself is almost a no trade clause because only a handful of teams can get that kind of trade done in general. your Dodgers and Red Sox..maybe the Cardinals if they're willing to spend, probably San Fran, maybe Seattle with their new money..Detroit. he likely agrees to go to 2 or 3 of those teams should they have interest, the Marlins then decide which deal they like the most, he's gone, and nobody would be surprised if Loria was willing to move him and the end result was the Marlins going cheap again. that's the point.

so glad the Dodgers weren't the " mystery NL team ". he's still young, but the guy is spiraling downward with his performance.

11:20pm: The opt-out clause being negotiated is expected to become effective after the 2019 season, tweets Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com. That would essentially make the deal a five-year pact that provides Stanton an eight-year player option, which would be a unique arrangement. Most recently agreed-upon opt-out clauses can be exercised after the bulk of the contract has already been performed.

They're getting Corbin back and have Hudson who came back at the end of this season. That should help

So Cano hurts breaks a toe. I can hear the Yankee fans and maybe the Mariner detractors saying, oh great another excuse for the guy not to perform or to hustle.

Not sure where to put this but on Thursday a close family friend was found dead in his bed. He was 30 and had bouts with drugs but we think it was a seizure... But I have other suspicions.

And today I came back from San Fransicso from a school trip and I'm told that my Abuelita passed away this morning. What the fuck man this is ridiculous. Dad's crying. She was 91

Also thank you @VRP and @doyerfan you guys are awesome

Just stay positive as much as you can. Be there for your dad, but make sure if you need people to be there for you ask, they will be and gladly will be.

Much love and positive thoughts and vibes to you and the family.

Just went through something very similar...just doesn't seem right, and makes you think there's no rhyme or reason to life sometimes.
Just hang in there...time does NOT heal all wounds, but you will change in your grief. It doesn't necessarily get better, but you will compartmentalize it, so that you can handle it.
    Sorry for your troubles

Does this mean we shouldn't include Stanton in our lineups for next year?
The club that will never be able to afford him got him?
On to Russell Martin, then...c'mon NerdCO....do something other than pontificate about how great you all will be together...we're waiting....

Hey man really sorry to hear about your family loss. 30 is way too young and grandmother's are the matriarch of the family. Tough to loose grams around the holidays . Keep your head up Chris..

    Best,
    Tom
