our 3 best pitchers against the worst team in the NL. The offense can't afford to disappear one of these games and lose it.
I feel like everything in the poll is guaranteed to happen. We should be trying to pick the one thing that won't happen - very tough.
I predict Puig sucks and should be traded for three for three Emirates tickets and a TWC subscription.
How quickly "won 7 of 9" turns into "lost 3 of 4". This team is the definition of mediocre. A true .500 squad.
What really blows my mind is how Roberts can continue putting Turner in the 3 spot. Same with Kendrick near the heart of the order. I mean, it's not really that hard to tell that both guys have been absolutely atrocious all season long (along with Grandal and Puig). I get that we really don't have a lot of options, but at least fucking try someone else in the 3 spot for a game or two.
Robbie Baseball. He's not a very good manager. I was watching Around The Horn yesterday and they were talking about the comments the Padres' owner made the other day. They said it was partially his fault for letting Dave Roberts come to LA. I was in such disbelief.
Hated the way Roberts got the job, with players such as TURNER, Adrian, and some others going and pushing for him to get it over Kapler. Like, why does a career long utility guy have a say in who's manager? I could understand if he were Zobrist and had that sort of resume. However, I don't think Ibanez was added to the org without an eye to him becoming manager at point, he's probably next in line.
I think the sample size is far too small to say Roberts is definitively a bad manager. We have some horrible players.
You're right, and he's still learning, but the stuff he does resembles so much what Mattingly did here. Nothing revolutionary at all.
Exactly. Its early june and rookie manager is horrible and the team is already done. Fatalism is bad for your health.
