Yes, the faggot , deeply finookish and aberrent DH.
There have been enough fucking changes to the most perfect game ever...although my dad would have argued, that the simplicity and pure energy of horse racing was the nadir of all sports.

There are multiple...and they are part of your own domain, which you serve so well.
    Such is human nature.

He currently has a WAR of 0.5, putting him in 9th among all major league catchers. (For fun: Matt Kemp has a WAR of -0.1)

I've been very happy with his defense. He doesn't backhand anything in the dirt, he gets the glove turned over and blocks the ball properly. He gets good, clean throws off to second. He does a good job of framing pitches, if you watch him it's very noticeable.

It's starting to look like our FO did a great job with this deal. We filled a position of need. Cleared a lot of salary space. We also got Wieland in the deal, who's starting today. Probably the worst thing about the deal is that it helped us get Jimmy Rollins.

Update on Gonzalez's homerun: It's been confirmed that Adrian's HR ball finally landed this morning.

No, but seriously, it's estimated at 447 ft, which sounds very conservative to me... he almost hit himself in the face.

We also cleared a path for Joc, and yeah the worst part right now is Jimmy, but the other options for shortstop were just as bad, if not worse. Also, I would bet that in the hypothetical scenario where they don't trade Kemp, they still try for Rollins and the Dodgers then lose some starting pitching depth

Maybe it's a very optimistic way to look at it but it's like they traded Kemp for Grandal, Rollins, and Wieland plus the added bonus of getting to keep whatever asset, whether it be money and/or prospects, they would have needed to lose for a shortstop and catcher. That would've been expensive

They track so much shit in baseball and I feel as if they're bad at tracking home runs when they hit walls. That ball would've gone a mile

    I'd put Turner 2
    SVS behind Gonzo
    Ellis and Rollins behind Weiland

I still think too many balls get by him and he could be better throwing out runners (gets a pass when Anderson starts, but still could be better with others).

Also, flip Howie and Gonzo, that was working well before, didn't need it to change. I want Gonzalez getting as many AB's as possible

Not quite the way I see it, close though. No one in their right mind doesn't want to keep Zack...on his current contract. By the same measure, no one in their right mind doesn't see that extending him for more years and more money is high risk that really isn't necessary.

Like I said, I can't think of a soul who doesn't want to keep him, it's just that I can't think of a single pitcher who provided that kind of value after the 4th or 5th year (I'm sure there is one or more, I just can't think of them.) So in my book it's "play by our rules or don't play at all".

I want to as well. We need him...on our terms.

Heisey is here to take wielands spot probably tomorrow

I know I've said it a thousand times but I still love what the team is doing. Instead of commiting to one 5th starter at this moment, why not try multiple guys out in different times and in between their starts, you get an advantage of an extra position player or reliever.

There isn't a large gap of ability in a one start sample between the likes of Bolsinger, Baker, Wieland, Huff, etc. Some of those guys are better then the other but it's a good chance to see who can stick around and to exploit the use of options without committing to someone when you don't need to. You could hypothetically use Bolsinger and Wieland calling them up and down, alternating them every 5 days if you get it right. Add Lee and Frias to the mix and you can get 4 guys alternating as the #4 and #5 starters
