    Someone decided not to trade for Braun. Someone decided we didn't need a 3 starter in the playoffs for 2 consecutive seasons. Someone signed Kazmir, Anderson, and Mccarthy. Someone only went and got us platoon players to fill holes. Obviously the market for good pitchers on the trade front were cost prohibitive and we got the best available guy in Hill. Kudos.

    It almost worked.

    I'm telling myself that 2015-17 will be transition years and we are fortutunate to compete until our next crop of players graduate. But it still sucks not to seize the opportunity to win now.

    Alright I turned it off. Kershaw and Jansen all game Saturday, would hurt like a bitch to lose but I suppose it's as good a shot as we'll have.

    There's going to be a year Kershaw isn't prime Kershaw anymore, and that's what breaks my heart. Not getting one ring out of his prime would be both a disservice to him and us.
