IDK if Donnie looked past the Giants and considered them not worthy of a Greinke start...I don't read what you do where I am...but if it's true, and that is what DBB did, at this time of year, then he deserved to be swept; the team suffered for his ineptness. Even though the game played out the way it did, the insult is enough to inspire that team to play the way the Giants did.
It's just bad BB in April, bad managing, and a sterling example of his moronic approach to running this team.
And, really....hasn't he already failed? WTF have the last two seasons been?

I believe they are pushing Greinke back because of his elbow issues early in the season. In the grand scheme of things, an April series vs. the Giants means absolutely nothing even though it matters to us a whole lot.

 

Then, that's a completely different story...and I agree with you; the elbow thing matters.
But I read it somewhere else, too, that DBB considered the Giants poor, and didn't need his normal SP, so saved him for SD. Don't know what the truth is...but they are the World Champs, like it or not, and disrespecting them begets sweeps and shit like that.
We wouldn't feel to great about it if the situation were reversed.
It's the same thing as putting up an article that was in the paper on the clubhouse bulletin board in which an opposing player disses the team.

 

Can the Dodgers stop messing around and give Greinke a new contract? Goodness he's a bad man and is the coexistent Ace of this squad.

I think it's the 2016-18 money that'll be topic of discussion for Friedman and Co.

 

he's on deck to make 24M in 2016, 23M in 2017, and 24M in 2018. that's good enough. he may not even be worth the 23M in 2017..he's been pitching around elbow issues as it is.

a 1 year extension for decent money that runs him through his age 35 season..maybe. another couple years tacked on after that? hell nah. know when to hold'em. know when to fold'em. let him go and go get Cueto.

 

i'd like to see Grandal in the 2 spot for a little while ( or while Puig is out..if Puig is out). i know they'll probably put CC in there instead and he could use the jump start too - hitting in front of AGon and Kendrick. seems like CC's hitting it harder the last couple games. Grandal's been robbed a lot by the BABIP Gods thus far. he's hit it hard. get him some fatter pitches to hit and it might jump start him. only Joc has a higher walk rate than Grandal as well, so he can get on in front of AGon/Kendrick.

that is the problem you see with the lineup? if anything Grandal hitting fifth is the biggest issue
