When the hell do you listen to him lol?
Certainly not on the radio when you're driving and his misleading calls cause you to hit the center divider on the freeway. !

If I had to choose between Collins and Steiner to replace Vin on TV, it'd be Steiner. No question.

He announced 5-6 games this year when Vinny was sick; and in 2009 when I had the MLB At Bat app on my iPod, I listened to the radio feed when games were blacked out. Steiner and Lyons was a great team IMO.

He's fine on TV for me. And he has a warming voice and good personality. I don't think 'phony douche' when he speaks like Collins.
But he's not the man for the radio job. He does too poor of a job letting the listeners know what's happening. And it is not really preference...it is UNACCEPTABLE the calls he makes at times.

That said, he has had some epic calls over the years imo. Nomar's walkoff was a remarkable call by Steiner.

The more I think about it...
    Just swap Collins and Steiner.
Collins has a voice suited for a radio presence. He can describe what is happening fairly well. Rick Monday can do a better job of telling him he's a retard.

    TV: Steiner, Lyons
    Radio: Collins, Monday

On the radio I don't get too excited. I usually wait for the aftermath of the play instead of the announcer's tone of voice. I mean I don't really listen to the radio. At all. I've probably listened to about 3 Dodger games on the radio in my entire life.

But I know how important that can be also. My dad became a Dodger fan by listening to Vin on the radio.

He called games for the Braves, IIRC. Schiavone was solid, IMO.

He had his fair share of dumb shit he has said every now and again. Ask NZ.

Probably would do better than Collins. Collins is whatever, just can't do much of Collins and Lyons together. Yeesh. I think Stiener and Monday are better, so I end up listening on the radio on most road games.
