    I like Collins' voice It is his lack of knowledge that is the issue. I wish Kevin Kennedy were interested. KK and Lyons would be good. Hell, I even like Patrick O'Neal.

    Collins is a play-by-play announcer. Not a smart one, but he is one.
    We are the Dodgers. There should be a line of trained play by play broadcasters ready to audition. The Giants have fucking John Miller on the RADIO.

    Get someone with a good voice, knowledge of the game, and the ability to paint a picture. A play by play guy is a live reporter.
    Get a color analyst who is both entertaining, and knows the game.
    And you have yourself a winning broadcast team.

    I mean the Lakers broadcast team is horribe. They let Spero Dedes go and gave the job to a fucking talk show host. Then fired Joel Myers and gave the TV job to a pre/post game show host Billy Mac. Terrible.

    Anyone remember Tony Schiavone from WCW? When I was a kid I loved his ring calling and apparently he is helluva play by play guy. Why not? Seriously?
