Maybe it's time to dust off this thread. Another 2 months like this last one and this will be a very real discussion.

Hopefully not just a seller discussion at that point, more than enough DFA candidates as well.

Since no one will be buying what they need to sell... I only hope Mark Walter stops buying as well...

    Maybe he should.
All the best players on the team this year, outside of CK, are cheap.
Utley, Corey, Joc, Trayce...cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap.
    And Greinke sucks dick, expensive.
    So there you are.

I hope Walter sells the team :hide:

    The Guggenheim honeymoon is over.

I've been a broken record about certain aspects of the Dodger experience they've ruined for me, primarily with the television contract and turning the stadium into a NASCAR jumpsuit.

Stan Kasten is such a blowhard too. Talking about how important the fans are...bull SHIT. I share a season ticket account and sit by other full season seat holders...the Dodgers don't do shit for the fans, trust me.

You know that Italian Restaurant they opened up in right field? You know...the glorified heat lamp pizza and sandwiches? They actually reduced the menu this year. There was already basically nothing to begin with. Because the incompetent vendors they use can't even handle microwaving a chicken parm sandwich. Plus the worst service ever. Be sure to miss an entire inning trying to get a bottle of water. Even when the stadium isn't full.

The life has been sucked out of the building. Every year Kasten brags about how he's sold more season seats than any year prior. Yet they can't even draw 40k for a bobblehead giveaway or the Freeway Series.

I can go on and on but hate typing on this phone.

    great post
guggenheim cares about one thing and one thing only
    lining their pockets with money
won't matter if we're 10 games up at the deadline, tied, or 10 games back...
they will do little/nothing at the deadline
they're every bit as disingenuous as mccourt
they just have more $$$ -- which almost makes it worse since they're not using it
    no wonder they hired friedman
they wanted someone used to running a team with minimal spending
all this while (like gebbeth said in another thread) wasting the prime years of one of the greatest pitchers in mlb history
don't be surprised if kenley's gone at season's end
not when some team is willing to pay him more than these ckunts are willing to offer

    easy solution
    sell your worthless season tickets
use that money to get a laptop, ipad and take your wife to a legitimate italian restaurant

I gotta tell ya, " NASCAR jumpsuit" is as good as it gets. Brilliant description.
But...but...but...Kasten never said he would go out and field a winner ( of whatever the lying fuck did say), as we have been told multiple times here...so just be satisfied that you have even a team in LA. You want a winner too? Damn...why do you feel so entitled?
Here in NJ, we have nothing...just two pro football teams that play here every Sunday. Like "fake NJ teams " Pretend teams...you know, like when you were a kid.
At least, you have a real team that is losing in LA.
    Be thankful. Real losers...

Fuck Kershaw's wasted years. He had a hand in that.

Poor Vin has to endure this shit in what should be a glorious final year. He had no hand it that.

OK fuck Kershaw...he had the shot, and blew it.
But fuck the poor Vin shit, too...he's had a pretty goddam good life behind the Dodgers for 67...I mean how bad are we supposed to feel? We are all the better from his years, but he's been justly paid and honored.
And, right now, my money is on the Giants to win at least the west. Vin is a Giant fan, so that, combined with his millions of dollars in the bank, and it's all pretty good for Vinny ( and the grandkids), imo.
    He knows it too.

I think it's ill-advised to bad talk the ownership group. I do agree that the tv deal is a disaster and Kasten has been super annoying throughout the process, but now success is expected. I remember during most of the McCourt years, getting to the playoffs was a treat; now we expect that to happen. These past 2 months have been extremely mediocre, but I'd say the new ownership group has been very successful since buying the team.

Guggenslime would tattoo an Emirates logo on Vin's face if they could.

They are absolutely facts...I agree all the way with you.
But when you start a paragraph with what you did, and then go to two big reasons why the opposite should be true, it made me laugh.
You're entitled to feel whatever you want...but I don't get that part at all.
I don't even get why anyone even gives a shit when disappointed fans, who haven't had a champ in a chunk of a century, complain about or goes at the FO who run a loser team...no matter who it is.
    What? Must defend the powerful?
Weird dynamic going on there, imo. Very...

In the Guggs first 3 full seasons owning the Dodgers, there were only 2 teams in MLB with more wins: the Cardinals and the Royals.
