My point was not that Kemp will absolutely be fine, it's that saying he absolutely won't be is wrong.
What do we do then? If he'll be fine, 'next year'. What does that spell for this year? I mean...I can't imagine him missing an entire year...that's crazy. Is he going to play with a not fully healed injury?
My guess is what they should have done. When he does eventually come back, we don't play him. Spot starts. It's better to do it now in June, than in September when we really need him.
just hope he's fully healthy when he returns after the ASG... http://tracking.si.com/2012/06/26/matt-kemp-los-angeles-dodgers-all-star-game-mlb/?section=si_latest
Would rather he sit this out as well... Kemp can still be the captain for the Home-Run Derby and can even participate in it, after Mattingly said doctors confirmed that it wouldn’t affect his hamstring injury.
Besides the obvious re-aggravating his hammy, I hope he doesn't embarrass himself like he did last year. Like TB said, he isn't a HR Derby hitter guy anyways. Don't wanna see Dre in it either, waste of a slot. Hope Kemp does the right thing and put Stanton and Harper in it.
