Don is really jacking it up this game

 

This game is a direct reflection of how MLB has fucked up baseball. The Pirates tanked for a ton of seasons and received multiple 1st rounders in the first five. As such, they have Cole, Alvarez etc. Why, exactly, are we still paying any sort of revenue sharing to this team?

 

If there's an opportunity for the Dodgers to do something wrong, they will.

Welp AZ might lose again, meaning technically this would be a successful series, cause we gained a game in the standings

Bah, you'll come to know I'm actually not as hard on Don as most are, just the things he did today were idiotic

 

Came into Pittsburgh 8.5 Back

Left Pittsburgh 7.5 Back

 

I'm suprised more guys didn't jump all over him, but Don's move to allow Cruz to bat with the bases loaded and 2 outs, down by 2 really pissed me off. Imagine that! The biggest Don defender here and I cannot understand what the fuck Don has for this loser .130 hitter.
I though for awhile that Don had finally gotten over his love affair with Cruz...well Uribe has a stiff back, so I guess it's all Cruz all the time again.
I don't think that cost us the game though, there's no way to predict what the other options would do(Hairston, Ellis, Ellis, Hairston), but I think HanRam was the best choice and he wasn't used until the last AB of the game. Why Don...WHY? That was our last look at the game before the super duo setup and closer came in. I guess it was a "hunch" move, well as usual Don's hunch backfires, even the seemingly good ones...but this one was a bad move from the get go to me, just a terrible choice there.

Funny then Don takes him out right after in a double switch. I hope it was punishment, but I doubt it.

Zach sucked, I mean that pitch to Alvarez was just brutal. The umpire was giving Zach the low/away fast ball out of the zone all day, yet he went to that lame curve that really wasn'tt very sharp today.

Gurrier continues to make us hate him. He looked good overall, but that HR was just the nail in the coffin for us.

We were discussing the "closer/setup" formula, and as much as many of us hate it...PIT sure has it working wonders with less than steller guys. Grili? Wow, never thought he'd be a 24-24 save guy. some teams have all the luck...some have only bad.

I'm ready to fire Don anytime, as long as he promises to take Cruz with him. We are in need of something big to happen. Time has run out and Puig isn't the cure. I'm at the desperate setting now.
I don't want things to remain the same anylonger.

Zach lost this one, it's on him, but yet again, we have a chance to score at least 2-3 more runs and waste it. Well, Don sending a .130 hitter with no power at that key moment pretty much made that the predictable outcome.

 

Awesome, I love the positive outlook. We don't have much of that here(understandably so), and some of the guys that have it are losing it fast!
