Bolsinger's gotten rocked once so far, in a start where DR inexplicably tried to get him through a 6th inning when he barely got out of the 5th.
Other than that he goes 5 innings, gives up a couple runs and keeps the game winnable ( well, winnable for a team that'd actually score runs, that is )
Here's hoping he can maneuver around Braun and Lucroy tonight and get through 5

I read that they expect velocity to increase as he makes more starts.

Really hoping Holmes doesn't bust. They have to hit on at least one of these first round pitchers.

Changing topics, how long does it typically take college arms to reach the bigs?

Are there any comparable injuries throughout baseball we can compare Ryu to? As far as similar surgury, rehab, and success after returning?

Depends on how many innings they pitched, because if they don't have to build up stamina, they can move quickly. For example, 2014 college draftee Trevor Oaks pitched 95 innings in his final college season (plus a few pro innings), then jumped to 125 last year and has so far pitched 88 innings in 14 starts, he could conceivably finish the year with 150+ innings and be a big league rotation option next year at some point.

Of note, the aforementioned Oaks, threw 7 innings allowing 4 Hits, 1 Run, 1 walk and 3 Ks.

    JDL: 4IP, 2H, 1R, 1ER, 2BB and 3Ks.

Joshua Sborz was a draftee in 2015 and has already moved 2 levels and it wouldn't be surprised to see him in Tulsa by the end of the year.

Another good example, between his college season at UVA (mostly in relief) and season in pro ball he pitched 95 innings, and so far this year he has 76 2/3 innings, putting 130-140 well within reach if they want to push him that far.

With Urias coming up on his innings limit, and Ryu and McCarthy not 100% clear, will Montas be available to come up and take up the slack?

IMO Montas is a little bit ahead because he didn't have a set back but Ryu went further in his last start. McCarthy update had him pitching Friday for Rancho but he didn't pitch.

No word on why but according to Dave he and Ryu will be pitching back to back in AAA most likely Wednesday and Thursday.

He wasn't impressive but it's about pitch count and stamina and since he is going Thursday I guess he's ok.
