whew close. too close "IF" we had an offense we'd be dangerous and lets hope we use the 10 day DL propitiously for the pen arms
Sounds like Turner will be back Friday. http://m.dodgers.mlb.com/news/article/234935868/dodgers-justin-turner-pederson-test-injuries/
Awesome win, and pretty intense series. This is turning into a pretty entertaining matchup between these two teams Randomly thought I'd reminisce about the NLDS last year. I can't believe how crazy Game 4 was and that we didn't die from heart failure. Kershaw pitches great... bullpen blows a 3 run lead, and then Toles, Ethier, and Utley give us the lead. Crazy fun game
A little bit of a playoff feel . So glad to see Alex Wood going on Saturday!!!! Going to be sitting pretty in the club level Saturday so they BETTER win!!!! Might be getting JT back this weekend which would a super development but it depends on how he feels tomorrow morning! ray:
I have faith in our boys against the Reds pitching. We face a lefty on Friday, so look for a cluster-lineup, but also look for us to start scoring runs.
You're not the only one. Forgot about having to get Murphy for one of the final outs. I shit my pants every time he steps to the plate against the Dodgers, especially in the clutch.
Not bad really. Kinda sucks that when you don't win it all, you naturally just erase even the good moments but Ill slowly try to not take them for granted. That 2016 NLDS really is a fucking classic. I know some will disagree cause maybe it doesn't matter due to the end result of the season, but man, you look back and it's nuts. The Utley single, the Kershaw save, the Joc home run against Max, Seager home runs. Madness and some great moments
Thank you Jesus and all dieties...Corey and Yasmani and Yasiel. Most of all thank you, Clayton. Again the stopper.
Oh and you must have had a marker you called in from heaven above, Dave...because if Turner scores after the drama with Clayton, and itall happens as we thought then...then you lookin' pretty bad bra. You must be living right, young brother...they say you're a good man, so then your good fortune was karma.
I was pretty nervous in game 4, but nothing compares to what I was feeling when Kershaw came into the game in game 5. I thought I was going to throw up.
Dubious decision no doubt at the time to pull Kersh but Taylor could have played it as a double instead of going after it really hard and getting too close to the wall. This being said DR did get away with it luckily the difference between this time and let's say playoffs of old he had a bully that has been pretty good SO FAR to go with. Oh and by the way DR had the pitchers practicing fielding drills before this game so has was prophetic in that regard. All around good game to watch now let's see some RUNS in the upcoming Reds series dammit!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had been waiting for the Dodgers to use Kershaw like that for the better part of a decade. It gave me a warm, tingly feeling I can't quite describe... it was like taking the training wheels off your kid's bike when he's on the 10th leg of the Tour De France.
