Looking back, the 14 mil Frank was receiving for half of parking seemed too much, now it seems like the paper that Walters, Magic, and Kasten wipe their asses with. Also, they have all but guaranteed that Frank has no say in anything field related and ensured that all moves after his departure make them the superstars are him the douche. Perhaps they are keep him around for people to laugh at. He is like the court jester being paid to dance, sing, and take punches.

 

eh, they kept him around because they had too. The fucker's ego wasn't going to allow him to sell the team AND go away. Fuck him, i'm glad he's near enough to witness this shit.

It's like if you had a girl, you thought you fucked her good and you were proud. Then she dumps you and she gets a guy that fucks her better, only you have to watch her get off unlike anything you ever caused!

I understand why people were/are pissed about Frank still being somewhat involved with the team; but my main thing is winning. I wouldn't care if Fidel Castro owned the Dodgers, just win a fucking championship.

I really don't care if he's involved or not with the parking lots, but I'm fairly certain he doesn't care about, nor did he ever care about, this team.

 

Not to start anything, but Frank's getting $14MM annually whether you choose to go to games or not. If you go to a game, you're not contributing at all. A bigger FU (IMO of course) is attending games when Frank isn't the owner.

I just don't understand it (but I respect your guys' decision). My main thing is that these new owners want to win, so I'm going to support them any way possible. It's a lot better than depriving yourself of watching the best Dodger team the last 20-30 years live in the best place on Earth.

 

Everyone is entitled to opinions, NO DOUBT about that and I respect everyone's opinion and (generally) everyone does mine. If you don't want to go to games, don't, not a big deal at all. I tend to agree with Ford and IBB's posts in here.

The only thing I somewhat get tired of is the non-stop pessimism from some people. It's like we are garbage, shit, assholes, turds and fucks if we lose one game or if someone gives up a run. Come on now, it's a game, there are going to be ups and downs!

Anyways, just my two cents. And for the record, I don't think 4EB meant any harm, just probably poorly stated.

you are right. frank is getting his 14 annually. but even if that seems like a paltry amount right now it has to come from somewhere. that money is coming from ticket sales, parking, concessions etc.
and fwiw i wouldn't go to support a team owned my castro either. thats basically saying you have limited morality. or are ok w communism. you'd find plenty of support for your pov that it makes no difference.
as they say if you don't stand for something then you stand for nothing. i don't dictate from some morally superior high ground its just my choice. i feel they lied and by the empty stands i guess i'm not alone.

probably not because they tried to bullshit past the issue. stood right in front of us at the press conference and lied.
for me personally its not a decision i make lightly. i love dodger stadium and was good for 10-15 games a year. four box seats and all the food/beer i could take in nine innings.
but i will go to games when people give me tickets which happens two or three times a year. blf went to a game w me and we sat in the espn seats i get at least once a year.
i guess you would have to have grown up in an era when we watched our dads make deals on handshakes and our word was everything.
just a matter of principle but i get why it seems strange to you.
