    Lol...and then Kemp went home after the game, and while relaxing in his multi millionaire's crib, by the pool, having his dick sucked by a gorgeous Georgia peach...he must have thought about playing LF, I'm sure. ;). :shrug:

    Kind of sad to look back at the group of Loney/Kemp/Laroche/Billingsley/Broxton/Martin, etc. and seeing how poor they ended up being after many of us(myself included) thought they'd be the group that put us over the top and led us back to the WS.

    Mets fans are experiencing the same frustrations with Bruce like we are with Reddick. .169 with a .545 OPS as a Met so far....both guys stinking up the place. It has to sting for them to watch Murphy/Turner rake for two teams projected to make the playoffs when both could be in Mets unis, but they landed Syndergaard for R.A. f'n Dickey so it evens out.

    I think Loney/Laroche are the only true disappointments of that group. Kemp became disappointing and overpaid but was still very good, Broxton flamed out but was still dominating, Martin was let go cause of injury but has ended up with a very nice career, Bills had a good run and was solid. Disappointing maybe cause he was never an ace but he carved a nice career as a middle rotation starter and he got injured before getting a huge payday.

    Maybe I'm looking at it too optimistically and they failed in some regards but they were mostly good during their relative peak periods

    Even the guys we were close to trading for suck ass? Nice.

    At least we can't be thinking "what if they went for this guy instead!"

    Wonder if we'll pick anyone up before the August 31st deadline. Last year we got Utley/Ruggiano who both helped. Feel like a guy similar to Ruggiano would be nice (someone who does well against lefties) and maybe a back end starter (a Bud Norris type) just in case need some innings from someone. But, have no idea who is available

    Martin was good, and letting him go was a mistake. We got sick of him at the end, but his #'s were still good considering the position he plays
