the 40 man issue with not calling up JDL seems lame to me, idk. I know theres not a lot of fat to cut AND they have to think about making two moves off the 40 man for the potential return of Kershaw/Ethier but... seems like no one would care about Brett Anderson, Josh Ravin, or Charlie Culberson leaving.

We have guys going out and tossing 2 innings, 3, 5. Getting completely lit too. Now is the time. To show this won't and CAN'T be tolerated. The kid has earned i . Put the best pitchers on the mound.

    Avilan can go.
    Fien can go.
    Hatcher can go.
    Van Slyke can go.
Why is Tsao still on the 40?

    Roster
Starters: Clay, Urias, Maeda, Hill, JDL
Relievers: Jansen, Blanton, Liberatore, Baez, Dayton
Subs: Whichever 3 best pitchers are left healthy and not in a funk. Ideally Howell, McCarthy, and Stripling or Wood.
Infielders: Turner, Utley, Seager, Gonzales, Grandal
    Outfielders: Reddick, Joc, Puig
    Subs: Howie, Ethier, Ellis, Kike

@BillShaikin: AL wild card: Tue 10/4. NL wild card: Wed 10/5. If #Dodgers win NL West, they'll open NLDS Fri 10/7.

Damn, it's too bad we'd probably start on the road in the NLDS cause I would definitely go to Friday/Saturday playoff games at Dodger stadium but probably can't Monday/Tuesday

    Please win the division

Well, I guess start rooting for the Nats to tank for a week or two.

Playoff games at Dodger Stadium are such a nightmare traffic wise. It took me TWO HOURS to get from Figueroa/Sunset to the parking lot for game 3 against Atlanta in 2013.

Alex Wood said he started throwing off flat ground yesterday. A mid-September return to the bullpen is still the plan.

Damn, forgot about him. Fuck, his injury was an underrated blow to the team. Was pitching great and even when not, he's a useful mid rotation type that would've been helpful. Injured on a fucking swing, ugh

    So, injury update:

Kazmir is being checked out by doctors at the moment, Anderson won't start Thursday cause of a blister but don't know how long they think he's out, Kershaw will next throw 60 pitches in a bullpen then go from there and will only have 1 rehab start, Andre Ethier will start a rehab stint soon and hopefully be back mid September with no setbacks, and Alex Wood is currently on schedule for mid September with no setbacks.

    HUGE blow

He was turning the corner back to good Atlanta days. I really hope he's healthy next year, he's actually pretty good.

That really did hurt. He was for the most part going deep into games and out the rough first 4 starts when his mechanics were out of whack, he was stellar. He comes back and pitches like that again next season and the rotation will be pretty good as is with Kershaw, Maeda, Urias, De Leon and him. He'll also only be 26 at the start of the season. As for this year, if he's right, he's a lockdown back of the bullpen arm to possibly join up with Lib's and Blanton. Having two big LHP's to use in the 6th,7th and/or 8th innings would be a big addition to the stretch run.
