It's beyond frustrating that these mishaps keep on happening to us!! If Kershaw misses 1 start I'll be happy. You know he'll be pestering Dave and Honey to let him pitch, just hoping they don't relent not worth losing more significant time for a start. As for Joc I am glad the x-rays are negative bullet dodged there and he's young enough to recover faster than most but damn how many time is this going to happen to us! So glad that the A's have shown some balls and are giving the Gnats a difficult time, they are killing their bullpen which wasn't crazy good to begin with. More we need more!!!

It's going to be nerve racking for myself tonight when Stewart makes his debut but I can't imagine the excitement and nerves that kid will be feeling. I have a sneaking suspicion that our farm is going to be getting a mid term exam for the next month until the break which won't come soon enough!!! Just sucks that I am in Bakersfield for work and have no Sportsnet to watch.

Pleasure and thanks for the well wishes. Daughter and grandson live about 40 miles south of Cleveland in a lovely (I'm serious) community of Hudson. Clean, low crime rate community with almost all mom and pop type businesses.

The air quality in Bakersfield is almost as oppressive as the heat.

 

Highlight of the morning is reading how the A's beat up the Giants again. When I went to bed the Giants had gone ahead 8-5 and I thought they would finish the A's off.

SF pen, a strength on all of their championship teams, is a fucking mess.

What's so special about it? Never been to either of the stadiums there, but we've been to the Q and Rock Hall.

 

Their pen is a mess and holy shit does Casilla get rattled easy. His numbers should have been much much worse last night. He could not throw a strike and the umpire knew this, started giving him ankle high strikes (I counted at least 4, Posey was catching FB's off the ground and wasn't even attempting to frame) and 6 inches off the plate. This is not some hateful fan overreaction, it was a fucking joke and the A's guy in the booth was going ape shit. The 3 outs he did get were gifts thanks to the ump putting him in favorable counts. He threw one strike to Madson and that was strike 3 right down the middle on a 2-2 count the other 2 were pitches at least 6 in's off the plate. I didn't give a shit thanks to the A's going up by 2(then 4) if the ump and then decided to do the same the next inning... he didn't. Tightened the zone back up and the Giants were able to bring the tying run to the plate. Shit like that needs to be penalized by MLB, it's a fucking joke to the game when an umpire starts doing shit like that.

 

Maybe SFG can pick up Lincecum after the Halos DFA him and throw him in the pen?

Interesting...I know things change from season to season, day to day even, but when I read about Bruce, I can't help thing about that guy Kemp.
Especially with the vitriol here on his OF play.
Lotta hatred here for him.
