    • 2015 player option worth $10M with 180 innings pitched in 2014 (if traded, player option is $11M with 180 IP)
    • performance bonuses: $0.25M each for 24, 27, 30 starts. $0.5M for 32 starts. $0.25M each for 150, 160, 170 innings. $0.5M each for 180, 190 IP
He's at 126.2 IP with 22 Games Started. So 53.1 IP left for the option to vest. Let's say he averages 6 IP per start (spoiler: he won't), that's 9 more starts. 11 more starts if he's averaging 5 IP per start. I feel pretty good that he won't get it... Unless he all of a sudden starts pitching amazing and/or something happens to the rest of the staff where they desperately need Haren. He might reach some of those performance bonuses, maybe make about 50-75 K extra but yeah.

Everytime he starts we have to score 6-7 runs to have a chance. Bring up one of the kids to pitch in his place and cut this fucker...

Yep, and everybody and their mom's can see that Haren and Perez are dead weight and holding the team back from being that much better. (except Ned)

A major power surge has helped earn Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp National League Player of the Week honors.
Kemp went on a tear last week, belting five home runs in six games to lead the league. The only other player in baseball with as many homers last week was Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner, who was named the American League Player of the Week.
Over that stretch, Kemp drove in nine runs, batted .409 and tallied 24 total bases. He turned in a league-best 1.091 slugging percentage and also stole a base and scored six runs as the Dodgers won four of six games.
It's Kemp's fifth career weekly award, and his first since April 15, 2012.

    Ken Rosenthal@Ken_Rosenthal 1m
    More
Also placed on revocable trade waivers today: #Athletics’ Hammel, #DBacks’ Miley (sure to be blocked, plus AZ does not want to trade him).
    -----------------------
Hammel will surely get blocked by SF, but I would take a shot at getting him back in the NL in a heartbeat (I know he has struggled in Oak).

Hammel would be ok, but I don't think he's all that great, but better than Haren

Lester should be the teams prime target since there is no pick, he's a lefty and a big time playoff performer. Since we lefties age more gracefully than power righties, I would like to see the team make a run at him.

Frias had his start skipped this evening and Yimi Garcia is being considered for a recall according to Ken Gurnick.

^^^ although I don't agree with Frias potentially being the guy getting the chance, why bot ZLee? Frias has been bad at Albuquerque too

I was wondering the same thing, he has not fared well at all. Man I wish Stripling hadn't gotten hurt, that killed our immediate pitching depth.

Chris Perez to 15 day DL, Frias up and Maholm to 60 Day. Guessing Frias may be short term and is long relief.

The Phillies placed Antonio Bastardo, A.J. Burnett, Roberto Hernandez, Ryan Howard and Kyle Kendrick on revocable waivers, FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal reports (via Twitter). The moves all took place on Saturday, so since the waiver period lasts 47 hours, we could know by today if any of the players were claimed. I’d expect Bastardo and Burnett to be claimed given that both drew significant interest before the July 31st deadline, and there is virtually no chance any team would claim Howard and risk being stuck with the roughly $68MM remaining on his contract.
