    Welcome to the club.

The Wrong Bros, as opposed to the Wright Bros.

He was a douche as a player, too. He was Bonds-type miserable.

It's just that he was a very good player.

    never hated kirk
i guess i always kind of got who he was
hard ass dude that gave everything and expected the same in return
he loved to play the game but didn't exactly relish the spotlight
and as much of a dick as he could be you got the feeling he would be the first guy there to pick you up
if you weren't being a loser bkitch that is
i think he just hated bkitches
and as far as the whole Dodger what was he supposed to do?
    bask in his former glory?
    he was the dbacks coach
he's just and old school man and that spells m a n

Watson signing with the Giants and the team is apparently circumventing the tax to make it work. So this pisses me off in more ways than one. It will be interesting to see if the commissioners office does something about this or if the Giants just opened up a loophole in the system that maybe some other teams try to exploit this spring. It apparently puts them right up against the tax, so if they want to make any trades in season, they will have to do so by sending back better prospects to make teams eat the contract or send back MLB players to make a deal work.

May not work for them ultimately, but at least they are giving it a creative
try...Dodger fans reticent to give them any credit at all, and understandably so.
They are, and were, and always will be--- San Francisco ccksuckers.
But three rings with seemingly not the best team out there deserves some fucking credit...not equal to our geniuses, of course.
We are the champions of geniosity...goes without saying.
Maybe champions is the wrong word.
But one day, maybe it will be the right one.

    Tony Watson Contract: 3 years,
    $7 million. #SFGiants

Watson, likely an eighth-inning candidate for the Giants, had a 2.57 ERA while pitching seven innings over 11 relief outings in the Dodgers' 2017 postseason run. Watson was an All-Star for the Pirates in 2014. He has a 33-17 career record with a 2.68 ERA in 474 relief appearances.

San Francisco finished last season tied for the worst record in baseball, but they've made big moves this offseason, trading for Evan Longoria and Andrew McCutchen, while signing Austin Jackson and Watson.

The Giants had been flirting with the luxury-tax threshold and were believed to be unwilling to go over it. The report said the two sides likely agreed to terms that helped the Giants remain under the $197 million tax.

Mark Melancon, Watson's former Pirates teammate, is expected to be the Giants' closer this season, but the 32-year-old right-hander recorded just 11 saves last season while battling injury. Watson could get a shot to close games should Melancon falter.

Like death and taxes, it's pactum factum that on DSP, any player coveted by LAD fans as a possible acquisition, or resigning, if signed by another club, will immediately reach an instantaneously created level of suckitude. Whatever reasons.
There will be by the other club, too much spent, or too many years given, or the guy is fat, or a clubhouse cancer...whatever. Whatever is needed to elevate the Dodger non move or backing out to " clever" status...or beyond.

The Dodgers were never linked to Watson, soooo not sure of the point of this rant. The team acquired Scott Alexander months ago to fill the hole vacated by Watson. As nice as it would have been to have another guy of his caliber in the pen, the team has lefties worthy of a shot as the third LOOGY.
