Hire Chase and have him instruct Barnes to get hit by a pitch every AB

I'm not sure if we know which decisions belong to Friedman and which to Zaidi, but I do think, from what I've read, one big difference between the two is how they communicate their actions to the public and possibly to the players/managers. Zaidi has always received rave reviews for communicating and bridging a gap between Analytics and Scouting. He's analytically inclined, but has made it a thing to make sure scouting is being heavily taken into account and is said to do a great job of being the spokesperson for the FO's decisions.

Morosi saying the Dodgers have showed early interest in DJ LeMahieu. Fucking kill me...

Zaidi has been offered the position of Prez of Baseball Opps with the Giants. He has 24 hours to make his decision.

While Friedman is like Brad Pitt in Moneyball.

    Pitt: Start Starlord at 1B.
Old Manager: But Starlord is a slow lardass catcher who strikes out a ton and only hits HR or walks.
    Pitt: Bingo!
Old Manager: I am not starting Starlord when Carlos Pena is our best player and can actually field 1B unlike Lardlord over here.
Pitt: Pena also strikes out a ton and only hits HR or gets walks but is making some millions of dollars and we can teach Starlord how to play 1B. That's why we pay you coaches for.
    Old Manager: I'm starting Pena.
Pitt: Do you work for the Braves?
    Old Manager: No.
Pitt: Well I just traded Pena to the Red Sox for some bloody socks.
Old Manager: Then I will start the backup 1B but not Hatteberg!
Pitt: I traded him to the Rockies while we were having this conversation for a box of juiced up balls.
    Old Manager: Shiiiiiit.
Pitt: I can do this all day. I got a roster full of guys I want to trade off.

Great info...being an outlander, I just wasn't aware of any of this. Always thought he was sort a fifth wheel, obviously not.
Quite honestly, he sounds perfect for SF.Q

I’d rather start Enrique every day than sign DJ

I'm president of the "Make the Dodgers Make Contact Again" foundation, but he's a hollow .300 if I ever saw one.

How many Colorado stars have continued to rake after leaving Coors?

Gold Glove too. Key is that he puts the ball in play and he would IMMEDIATELY become our best player at that skill. Home/road splits concerning but he hit more HR's on the road than at Coors and we all know Dodger stadium isn't that chasm anymore where fly balls go to die. He can also run for a large human being. I like it at our price though. The Kluber talk is intriguing and he's a righty which we need behind our new best pitcher Walker Buehler.

Update: Aggressive offer made by the Nats to Bryce Harper at the end of the 2018 season but he declined. Not a surprise because of Borassss

Lets hope last years split on the road was just a one year dip

    Road: .229 .277 .422 .698
    Home: .317 .360 .433 .793
    vs RHP: .249 .303 .373 .675
    vs LHP: .330 .360 .540 .900

So it looks like a new specialist to start vs lefties and start home games.
    An 2B David Freese.
