Tulowitzki broke after Colorado and Dickerson is still pretty good.

Looks like Farhan has accepted the Giants job.

Truly a betrayal. He signed Kershaw to fuck us for three more years and give the gnats the leg up.

Harold no longer likes the way the Giants go about their business.

Good on Farhan to get that promotion. I look forward to watching SF platoon excessively and hit .220 while breaking HR records.

Don't look forward to Zaidi perhaps leading them back to the playoffs, where their ace is at least 5-10 times better than any starting pitcher we have.
We know they're in hell as far as the health of their organization, so our only hope could be that it's going to take 2-3 years to dig out of that hole and that maybe Madbum declines over that period

Yeah, Madison is 5 to 10 times better than Buehler.

His performance has the last couple reg-seasons, the silly dirt bike ride probably didn't help and the injury this season as well. But then of course, he's always been a better pitcher in the postseason, and he's now going into a contract year. If he's healthy, he's probably a good bet in October.

That'd be my FA pitch to Harper if I'm Zaidi. And who better to convince Harper not to sign with the Dodgers, to instead sign with the Giants, than Zaidi? A guy who can warn Harper 1st hand about the WS title purgatory that comes with joining forces with Kershaw. Or maybe Zaidi will deal Madbum to the Yankees..some discussion is bubbling up there apparently

Apparently the Nats offered Harper 10 years/300 Mill during the end of the season and he declined.

    I wish I could decline 300 mill

That is purely a "Hey, we tried!" offer to the fans. No opt-outs, doesn't sound like any performance bonuses. My guess is they are out on him now. Speaking of which, Boras apparently said today that Harper is willing to move to 1B for the right club.

Would guess that the only reason we are interested in LeMahieu is in the event the team plans to move one or both of Taylor and Hernandez. LeMahieu can hold his own certainly against lefties and maybe to a point with more mediocre RHP, but I have watched him a lot over the last couple of years and tough righties can REALLY overwhelm him(especially those with a little more juice on the FB). A couple of things that I am wondering about is that he started hitting more HR's last year in an injury shortened season (also K'd more, but still way low) and after finally getting healthy, he ended the season strong. They could have seen some adjustment that he made that they think may translate well going forward and may be trying to buy low on him. Still doesn't make sense unless they move some other parts.

I think he goes to LF for a few years if he comes here unless Muncy takes a giant leap forward with the way he handles 2B. With a new GM, would not be shocked to see some pieces sent packing.

I saw that too. It always surprises me when players say they are "willing" to play a new position. It should be given. I get wanting to play a certain position if you are a pending FA and you play a value position... but Harper doesn't play a value position and will likely be signing a career length contract.

FWIW, Harper played catcher before he was drafted. No one is going to put him behind the dish, I'm sure, but he hasn't always played OF.
