There's a promo on the Dodger network, a newer one I think, the states "there's no room for error".
Are we the worst team in the universe to say that about or what?

Perhaps it was meant to say "there's no MORE room for error".

Well I finally gave dog fish head 90 min IPA a shot tonight... Iv'e put it off for long enough..I'm not quite sure why I have never sampled this beer until now..I mean it is the self proclaimed " best IPA in america"..IDK..Maybe because Iv'e tried the 60 min brew and really didn't care for it? Maybe the name throws me off? Naa... Ive been known to throw down IPA's titled...Pallet Wrecker,Ruination and Wolf Among the weeds.. IDK..Its a puzzler..

For years it has stared me straight in the face while I've joked with other guys in the beer Isle about Selecting my beer for the day being the "hardest decision of my work week"...Thats saying a ton as I work in healthcare and manage a bunch of idiots...I make pretty hard decisions on a daily basis..( probably why I drink soo damn many beers in the 1st place).

No I think I understand why Iv'e never sampled the brew before..INTUITION..You've heard of it before..you know, like mother's intuition? THIS is beer drinkers intuition or drunkards intuition... This beer is not very good! It kicks your azz with the 9% ABV, but really? The taste is sub par..More of an english style IPA..I know I'm more of a West Coast IPA kinda Guy but for all the jabbering about this 90 min, I expected more!..After the first draw I thought to myself..."Im probably not ever going to buy this again"...Then I said to myself.."well lets give it a real go..Just then I realized yup..English style IPA.."I'm even thinking my own thoughts like those bloody bastards..."..After finishing the whole 4 pack, I decided to share my observations here for the fellow beer drinkers and especially the Hop heads who truly enjoy a beer that makes your taste buds cringe on the sip..

If your expecting a West Coast IPA..Dont Bother..

If you enjoy the English style..It's decent.

THe bonus is the 9.0% as its an imperial...

Dont take my word for it..Give it a "GO" and maybe you'l enjoy it..

If your a West Coast Style IPA drinker then try the Ballast Point Sculpin or Stone Enjoy By are definite winners!..Green flash makes a good 7% IPA and of coarse you can go with Green flash pallet wrecker if your brave..( stronger in ABV and wrecks your pallet on every sip!...Wolf among the weeds is a staple and should be sampled for sure...Brewed by Golden Road her in LA..

What ever you decide..Drink up! and do it safely!

    Cheers Bkitch azz mother fuckers!
    Tom

If you ever accidentally drop your keys into a river of molten lava, let 'em go, because man, they're gone.

I just read your post. I've previously sampled the beer of which you speak. I agree with your assessment fully. For all the hype, it's just not that good. As a matter of fact, I've tried several of the Dogfish offerings and haven't been impressed with any of them. Founders, on the other hand, has a solid line up headed up by their Centennial IPA which is fast becoming a regular in my starting rotation. For a wicked twist, try Founders Arrogant Bastard. They also have an All Day IPA, which is just that-very drinkable and can be enjoyed the whole day if need be.

I've tried a couple of the Stone offerings and found them adequate. I need to try the Ballast Point too. I don't know if Pallet Wrecker is available here. Right now I'm enjoying some home state beers (yeah, they brew beer in North Carolina too...) like Natty Greene's Buckshot and Southern Pale Ale. Earlier in the week it was Hoppyum (worth trying if you can get it there) brewed in Winston-Salem. LoneRider Brewing of Raleigh has some good stuff, just not quite IPA level though.

Drink what you like/Like what you drink.

    Cheers backatcha.

Just listened to the whole album, Devil. Great album overall, although Weight of Love is definitely the best song.

i was listening to fever that chris posted a while back and while it didn't strike me as that great when i first heard it i like it a lot now. and i somehow started receiving two copies of rolling stone to the house and this month has an article on the keys.
i had no idea auerbach's wife had tried to commit suicide in front of their kid and set the fucken house on fire. gives a whole different dimension to these songs.
that and the fact that danger mouse is all over this. can't wait to hear the rest of it. again and again. great mix of styles.

The after party is where it's at. Although if you can finger your date under the table, that's cool too.
