    Yep, seems being a sports fan is all it takes. I didn't even necessarily disagree with that article, I just found myself saying "get to the point" too often and found it to be extremely general in nature. You could swap out team names and run the same article in 30 different markets. I'm confident 80% of the people on this message board could write a better article. My article might not be a lot better, but it would be better. It would also use the phrase "sucks balls" a lot more, i.e. "The Dodgers won't make the playoffs because this team sucks balls."

    Hey, Fordie...if you are out there, mang...heard it first, then looked up and caught a really low flying Stearman PT 17 this morning. Just so pretty. All yellow with a red cowling, looked brand spanking new.
    Biplanes still flying...awesome.

    That's subjective, at best, imo Rube.
    Any subject, if handled in a journalistically savvy way, can be considered journalism.
    I think there have been multiple times that Vin Scully has attained at least "journalism" with his eloquence. Perhaps beyond.
    I also think the day Jackie Robinson was written and spoken about first walking on a baseball field was probably journalism.
    Important journalism.

    You put forth two exceptional and rare cases.
    Vin is the best at sports broadcasting and has the breadth of knowledge that a fine journalist would have.
    And the Jackie Robinson story had less to do with his exploits as a sportsman than the fact that he was black and lived in a time of racial tension and change.

    Absolutely horrifying! They are already being targeted relentlessly and yet the continue to make their enemies even more determined to obliterate them. I'm not aboard with nuking them but systematic torture of those animals I'm all for that!
