    The young guys played really well. Russell's best game I think too. Randle with a good bounce back game.

    The bench is AWFUL.

    When do you think Russell will show his assist skills? Does he have any? I hope he does because right now, his assist to turnover ratio is probably 1:1

    If he wants to be our PG of the future, he's got to improve that.

    It looks like Mudiay is trying to be an assist machine.

    Russell: 2.7 assists/1.6 turnovers

    Mudiay: 6.3 assists/4.4 turnovers

    and no shit Russell has assist skills, that's his best asset. Guys gotta make shots to get assists. He's also got to play. He's also got to have the ball.

    Anthony Brown is putting up some numbers in the DLeague.
    Kupchak probably can't find anybody willing to give up a future pick for Young
    34 minutes for Russell and there's 20-25 minutes available for Anthony Brown if they find somebody to take Young and his dumbass haircut

    Gotta have shooters and guys that can move without the ball to get assists.
    Lakers are a horrible situation for a pass first PG....got a bunch a guys that are ball stoppers and need to create off their own dribble or the post (Randle, Bryant, Hibbert)
    Put Russell on a team with a stretch 4 and 5 that doesn't have to clog the middle, and I bet he'd be putting up big numbers.

    And Russell's not even really a pass 1st PG.
    What happened is fans heard the hype about his passing and then pass 1st PG became the label.
    What he is is a playmaking scorer whose ability to pass separates him from other scorers.
    Look at college numbers...he didn't average 13ppg and 11 assists, taking 7 or 8 shots per game.
    He averaged 19ppg and 5 assists, taking 15 shots per game.
    He'll defer, but mostly he just makes the right basketball play.

    As far as the assist numbers go, SSR did a nice piece regarding that among other things a few days ago

    Hopefully he calls a UCLA win. It would really feel lame for either of us to win the South via backing in but fuck it at least make next week interesting.
