And the other thing, IBB, is that don't associate being negative with irrational and being positive with rational. For example, Diablo believes Bills should be traded or should have when his value was high. He has a negative view on him... He said this in the game thread, was opposed by people, and stuck by it. He didn't get offended and say "Hey it's just in the game thread don't take it so serious i can say wtv I want" he meant it, was opposed, and both sides let out an argument.

It doesn't mean Diablo was being irrational or that the other side was. Diablo believes this, and so to him this is rational thought: The thought of a fan. The opposer believed something else and so stats and events are brought up. It's a rational argument. It's not like: "Oh well it's cause I hate the name Chad" .. "oh well how can you want him traded you have an ugly face you get no say you dumbfuck"... What you are saying, is that an irrational argument like that would show more fanhood than one in which stats/events/actual things are thrown out there.

Not saying that it means they don't care, was just making a fun little comparison. Lol.

There wouldn't/shouldn't be a problem if people didn't just sit back in GT's and try to capatalize on every single irrational post. You guys have said it perfectly. Rants are good and rational/irrational balance is good; but I don't need a bunch of posters who think they're better trying to talk down to me because I hate Loney/Uribe/Billingsley/Kennedy 's guts.

Yeah, to Diablo and to many others, this is a very rational thought; but to a select few, this is a total bombast and idiotic thing to say. The select few need to respect other poster's views.

Pretty much TB explained my problems in his post. Sick of people picking at and dissecting each negative post.

Also, saying "it's hilarious to see how pathetic you guys are when things go south". Shit like that.

I'm one of the most sarcastic and pessimistic people on earth. I still don't get the point or see the merit of making brainless comments that you admittedly don't actually agree with just because it's a game thread. Guess it's a time to agree to disagree on that.

I also am a major fan in general of SDF's vehement style. I'm the same way. I love that guy, going back to the latter days of PSD. It just does not appeal to me to say ignorant things regardless of if it's the heat of the moment or not, and I cant help but notice when other people do it.

Not to make this a Chad Bills thing, but this should REALLY shed some light on how pathetic Chad is:

Capuano was being interviewed by Patrick O'Neil. The question was about how he likes the Dodgers pitching staff.

Capuano said like, "Kershaw is remarkable. He's a true ace on the mound and I love even playing catch with him. A bright bright future".

Then he said, "And Billingsley, I mean he's such....I mean such a strong guy. We take batting practice and he rips homeruns into the seats"..... lmao he marvels at Clay's pitching and when he gets to Bills he doesn't even know what to say. Had to talk about how many HRs Bills hits in batting practice.

He had better things to say about Harang.

The thing is though, people say ignorant things once in a blue moon here. We're all very knowledgeable baseball people. That's why we're here. You have to get a fucking invite to be apart of this family.

And a good rant can be a work of art - a thing of beauty. Somebody has completely lost it and is letting you know in a crazy, over-the-top manner. Coherent statements are an added bonus here. So, enjoy a fellow Dodger fan foaming at the mouth, with his hands clutched around the neck of his once favorite bobblehead, as he bashes the plastic brains over his livingroom carpet. Just think how much this poster has changed since that morning.

And I don't get why people smoke pot and become alcoholics. It probably makes them feel good.

Trashing Loney makes me feel good. It's less self destructive too.

sometimes you just want to go 'its just a game, relax' to people, but that tends to rile them up more
some people do tend to take this stuff too seriously sometimes
but we all have stuff we take too seriously

what most people who are in the middle of an argument have a hard time understanding is that there is usually more than one rational position on a particular subject
and many times those rational positions run against each other
when there are many rational opinions on one particular subject then what we are talking about are personal opinions on a subjective topic
if people break it down to that then they realize that fighting over opinions is pretty silly because we are all chock full of em
    as we very well should

SDF starts the 'genuine' thread and then goes out of his way to be a passive aggressive little cunt for the whole GT.

not that it matters but i said the same thing about penny and broxton while they still had game and was roundly dismissed then too. not all that important for me to be right about shit. but a lot of guys here look at numbers way more than i do. i tend to see it terms of the mental aspect of the player. i've seen a lot of ducks in my day and bills is definitely a duck. i think he sort of waddles these days. you can add that up anyway you want.
maybe its just me but i never see this team trade a guy when he is actually worth something. before? yes all the time. maybe its the pedro martinez effect on the club because we hang on until the bitter end.
if necessarry i'd just rather see a guy with a little less talent and more tenacity. not sure why that pov would make another dodger fan freak out.

    here's the thing
    opinions are just that, opinions
they are neither right nor wrong, just a point of view
you can choose to agree or disagree

Seriously. Here we are taking shots at eachother when it's the Dodgers fault we're in this predicament. Win some damn games and we don't have a problem.
