I prefer Taylor as our top utility player.

He might have been one of those who got hold of the bad acid at Woodstock.

It’s frustrating and depressing that cody still can’t catch up to 92 mph fastballs. Him and Taylor being bad really throws a wrench in a lot of plans for the season

    and keeping things in perspective
i don't know what i'm more surprised (and pleased) about...
kemp's resurgence as a hitter, or him becoming a leader and a good example for the younger guys
    which/whatever, good job matt!

Kemp, on leading the league in hitting...
“I don’t care [about that]. We got a long ways to go. I’m just trying to help us get wins, I promise you. Whatever other good things happen, that’s what it is. I’m not even worried about that. Those things are always fun, but it’s more for the family and friends and all that. Honestly, all I care about is us getting to the playoffs and winning a championship. My expectations, my plan every year, is to drive in runs and make things happen for the team. All the other things are icing on the cake.”

Matt established himself as someone of that mentality many years ago when he said he didn't want Braun's taint, err, tainted MVP award... :kissass:

    yeah, but...
his "first baseball city i've ever played for" comment when traded to atlanta still showed immaturity/bitterness
but hitting rock bottom and realizing his bb career might be over was a huge wake up call
to say he's stepped up would be a huge understatement
always liked kemp, so i'm really happy for him and (selfishly) us too
    some homo

I think the thought of Seager playing 1B has to do with the injury and not putting the stresses of SS on it right away, he can make the move to 3B when Turner is gone in 2021, and Bellinger can come back in from the OF. Maybe Machado is the right guy to pursue in that case?

I know less than nothing, but I was figuring if pitchers can come back from TJS, Corey would be able to handle either middle infield position where his bat plays up. Feel like putting him at 1B will make it more difficult for him to revert back later on but again...I have no clue.
