The other was an unfortunate situation and tragedy for everyone involved driven by the pressures of a feelings/comfort based consumer society of enfeebled vagiants.

Thus breaking the model. This is not supposed to happen.
What you are experiencing is a glitch. Making him a villain to the status quo.

Daniel killing a homeless man freaking out on a train is not a glitch.
