Gotta suck big time...what team wants (or don't care) about a crowd like this? IMO, this is a case of cutting their nose off to spite their face. Sure -get back at Frank...how successful was it? He only got 2.15 BILLION...must have really hurt him. Now, it's pitiful....just pitiful. One of the most dynamic franchises in the history of BB...and look at this.
Looks at trends throughout any team in any sport in history. Attendance is tied to one thing, more or less, winning. If they win more people will come.
I can totally admit I care what people think. When people see empty seats...I know people are thinking, "Wow, nobody cares about the Dodgers". The players have to think "Wow. Everyone is probably watching the Lakers". patheric
Somebody has to explain this jarhead's mastery over us...I don't see anything... but a mystery why. But then, so is Lilly to me.
Even when we are winning, what do we average? Are there still empty seats? Yup. Reduce. Sell outs are better for everyone. We don't fill it up during the playoffs so idk what the incentive to keep it so huge is. But I am just saying the same thing over and over. I am the only one who agrees with myself so lol I guess I am done
The Cubs pull pretty good crowds forever as perrenial losers...loyalty is part of it. There are other teams, too. I see your point however. This is just really jaw dropping though.
I see your guys' points, I just think give it time. People are still sour about McCourt, and this team has been .500 two years straight now. When the new ownership comes in and maybe a playoff run, people will be back, guarantee it.
We just don't have the loyalty those teams have. LA has gone from a baseball city to a basketball city. It's sad. we have so many fickle fans who only go to games to show off their jerseys. Where would we even reduce seats? Have a huge foul ground again?
I agree with that. But again, it's not all about "people coming back". I know for a fact they will come back. But I am sick of seeing yellow, orange, turquoise, and baby blue even on GOOD NIGHTS.
Of all the amazing things architects can do, I think they can find away to fill the same stadium mass with less seats. Bleachers turn into seats in the pavillion...that has got to bring down capacity quite a bit. Increasing the size of aisles instead of filling every last inch with seat. Again, I don't know exactly. But there is a way to do it. Bring it down to 48-50K.
