    agreed
our offense was schizophrenic enough last year with hanley and kemp in the lineup
we've already lost one, do we really want to make it two?

AGon thrived after Kemp got hot. Without him 2015?

With no Kemp and Puig in our lineup our offense would make you complain by like the third week

You're willing to give Puig one more year to figure what out? He's been one of, if not the, best hitters on our team

Far from the problem on our team, even if he doesn't act the way you want him to

I am not in favor of trading Kemp.

Nor am I opposed to trading Kemp.

For the right return, it would be a smart move. The last 4 years of his contract he gets 21.5 million a year. Will he be worth that in 2018 and 2019? Could he bring us pieces that may not help now, but would pay plus dividends in those years? It's a gamble either way, but this team needs to get younger. I think what the brain trust is doing right now is smart; they're listening to all teams that have an interest to see what kind of return they can get. If they don't think the Dodgers are getting enough, then I trust that they are smart enough to walk away.

Trading him to dump salary is absolutely wrong, but listening to offers is absolutely right.

Yasmani Grandal fucking sucks, I'd rather have AJ as the start8ng C with Kemp on the team than Grandal as the starter.

I'm absolutely serious about this team getting younger. With the exceptions of Puig and Gordon, and whoever they plug in at SS, every member of the starting lineup is 30+ years of age. If they trade Kemp (or anyone for that matter) and bring back two players who are relatively sure to be starters at MLB average or above level, then pull the trigger. If we trade a 32 year old for two 20-23 year olds NOW, those two will be major league ready before the traded players contract is up. Ship some cash in the deal? Why the fuck not? We still come out ahead.

As b2b said, if you think there was a str8 up deal of Kemp for Grandal, then you're nuts. Not even Ned would do that. (Even if he could get out of that straight jacket.)

Another way I could maybe? See this work with Padres (hold on for crazy bored theory):

Trade Kemp to Padres for Grandal, starter pitcher, and reliever

Trade pitcher to Red Sox or Cubs for hitter

    Buy a pitcher

Don't think it's straight up but Grandal as the centerpiece of still utter shit.

    You know what?

    Keep everyone.

    This team, the manger. Everyone.

This formula works. I am giving in to mediocrity and anything less than a championship.

Time to lower my standards and expectations. Let's bring on a few more selfish guys and less character guys. I wany to see the payroll hit 300 million. The drama is fun to read about. I want the Dodgers to be the face of TMZ. Right next to the Kardashians and Top 40 music turds! Fuck the Yankee . We deserve ALL the headlines.

And give Ned his job back! He built this ballclub. Let him "fix it".

Kemp in left and puig in right is just right.
    Dee and joc in cf.
And the two old guys can back everyone up.
    work out the infield instead
Isn't there some talented ss from the pads or brews that needs a fresh start.

Look at Hanley for example. Kemp statistically had a much better season. He got 4/88 with a vesting option that could make it 5 and 110. Both are now OF's. Kemp would have most certainly gotten more.
