It was a Jackie Robinson joke
Lmaooo damn it
I was making a joke that the lineup is all white, save for Puig.
Also, I'm wondering who we would acquire for Verdugo. For me, if he isn't given a job out of ST, we should move on and see what we can get from him. I'd prefer to keep him. Infusing some basic bat-to-ball skills in this lineup would add another dimension. While he may only net the same WAR as somebody the FO could pull out of their ass, I think Verdugo, who makes contact and strikes out less than he walks would be more trustworthy on a game to game basis.
If we don’t get Harper I’m 100% on board with giving Verdugo the LF job. I just don’t know if it’s realistic to trade both Puig and Joc this offseason. Probably smart to deal Joc and keep Puig for his last year under contract and to keep Verdugo down and call him up as guys get hurt, then give him the job in 2020, as much as it sucks for him
no matt holliday?
Harper – Dodgers (more and more reports surfacing that the Dodgers are going to go all out to sign him)
Machado – White Sox (Don't think winning matters to him and could see them offering him a ton of money)
Corbin – Yankees
Keuchel – Yankees
Kimbrel – Phillies
Grandal – Rockies
Eovaldi – Red Sox
Pollock – Takes QO From D'Backs
Happ – Padres (Shot in the dark)
Brantley – Giants
Huh? That's a hell of a 180
You had me going until I saw Grandmal on your roster.
Harper – Doyers
Kimbrel –Brew Crew
Brantley –Gay Bay
Actually, I was going for the exact oppo of what I wrote...y'know...not even one of them.
Seriously, when Grandal goes, we go with Barnes as #1 catcher ? Wow..
Someone thinks Farmer is a POS at that position, elsewise, wouldn't he be a solid option?
Farmer is a career .250/.309/.330, he just sucks
I would have loved that kind of sucktitude in the playoffs instead of Grandmal.
I get that, I do, but as Rube said above ... he's Ted Williams by comparison to Grandal and Barnes last season ...
Late inning pressure situations OBP .429 SLG .538 AVG .385 RISP with 2 outs ONLY .464/565/348 so there's value and he plays 3B. Small sample size but to me it shows that there is no big moment he cannot handle.
To me that shows nothing it’s like 7 at bats
Kenley has 7 career ABs - .429 BA /.500 OBP / .571 SLG
Those are also the stats of batters that face him in the WS
