Mariners are very interested in Hanley. Not surprised, they're desperate for offense and they have nobody at DH.

Can’t say it’s a surprise and it should be noted Hanley could still re-sign with the #Dodgers under different terms.

lol hilarious. Somebody should ask King if he knows who Corey Seager is.

But King has no time to wait for Seager to reach his potential in the show..he's already half dead as it is

The AL teams have such an advantage with the DH with Hanley. NL teams have to worry about having to have him on the field in 3-4-5 years and the AL has a huge safety net so they can offer a bit more money and take on that risk of his defense being pure shit

" hey, bub..you take your common sense and shove it! "

i assume that after Hanley's signed elsewhere, we'll start getting leaks about the nerve issue in his back since it's already been reported that the Dodgers don't like his chances of staying healthy.

100+ millon spent on a 31yr old well known headcase that can't and won't likely stay healthy + have a bad time transitioning to other positions where his value takes a hit? that's a 100+ million that could be spent on 24yr old slugging LF Yasmani Tomas. and actually every team should think that way.

This is the thing, there are just too many questions about his future. We know he's not a great SS. The idea of moving to 3B is flawed because he will likely be even worse at 3B. The OF is really where he should move, and for someone who has never really played OF there's going to be a learning curve. Even then, odds are he will never be a plus OF defender. And this isn't a move that needs to be made "2-3 years down the road"... this is a move that needs to be made "2-3 years ago". Also, to avoid injuries he might need to stop running the bases so aggressively, which is another hit to his value.

He hits like a beast, so he has value even with these issues. But these aren't worries you should have with a $100 million player. There's still a major discrepancy in perceived value vs actual value in MLB, and Hanley is in a position to profit on that discrepancy. It's extremely unlikely that it will be with us.

and not only that, but what message are sending your dominant starting staff when you replace arguably the team's best infielder ( Uribe) with a bum fielder like Hanley? that's not fair to the pitching staff nor is it is fair to Uribe. that man hit .311 last year with 4 less HRs than Hanley in 25 or so less games.

so true..Hanley should've been moved to the OF a long time ago. the fact that he's never even played in the outfield..i'd be more worried about him getting hurt running after a line drive out there. but i'd park my worries at -- outfield = 100%..basepaths = 99.9% so not by much. Lol

yea, he's gonna get paid a grip just based on the bat because of the " DH " security blanket. i see 5yrs/90M from the NYY. and he'll be worth it in all the east coast hitter's parks if they can keep his back together. i still remember that line drive HR Hanley hit in Yankee stadium in 2013. it was so low, i think a younger Jeter may have been able to jump and catch it. Lol he'll roll off the trainer's table mid-game and flick 25HRs a year in those parks if healthy.

Yeah, like. AL sucks and is a faggot league with tremendous advantages over the NL...totally one sided. And they do not play baseball by any means.
I want to write every curse I know about it, but what's the sense...suffice to say, "fckrrs".
