When I made the change a month or so ago I called and spoke with them on the phone. One of the questions the guy asked me was, "are you satisfied with the Internet the way you have it"? Obviously, I already had the Internet service but not TV. I simply joked that I would accept an upgrade if it was free of charge. The guy gave me a fake sales person laugh and said "I wish I could" and we moved on. When they came to install all the new goodies it came with a new modem/router. I didn't think anything of it. Literally the same day, in the mail, I received a notice saying my area had been upgraded and in order to get the faster speeds I need only exchange my old modem for the new one. I immediately did a speed test and sure enough my Internet speeds had more than tripled to a 60MB connection, "free" of charge. So I got my Dodgers and super fast Internet. It was a good day.

I live in Cypress btw, of course I can't speak for other areas.

Pointless. Just a PR move my the Dodgers and TWC.

DirectTV has no obligation to enter arb.

Time Warner is trying to sell a product nobody wants. Free market. Directtv has the right to refuse.

Just that thought make you have to wonder how many if any big ticket signings there will be. Really why should a fan of another team be forced to pay so we can sign free agents away from them?

That's how it is though. Non-Angel fans are forced to pay for them even though they're not a fan of the team. DirectTV is trying to change the game here. Not that I don't blame TWC and even partially the Dodgers, but DirectTV sounds like they don't even want to cooperate.

That's the thing... Directv doesn't have to cooperate... Free enterprise baby... TWC overpaid and now they want all these companies to bail them out?? The good thing is the Dodgers get paid and we get plenty of money for better players...

Leave it to a handful of democrats to try and solve a "business" issue and involve the government... Surprise, surprise....
