What hurts about last night is that it was a classic "what if" kinda game. If Beckett blew up and allowed 10 runs, which is a possibility nowadays, you can just chalk it up to another bad start, and the Dodger's offensive/defensive woes wouldn't have mattered so much.

But Beckett pitched well. He deserved a win. We coughed up a bunch of wasted scoring opportunities by failing to do simple things like an effect sac fly for an RBI that could've made it a 4-2 game going in the ninth. I didn't understand subbing out Dee when he is on a hot streak both in terms of hitting and stealing bases. Why put in League in a potential game losing, walk-0ff situation. He's a guy you put in when you're up 8 runs, not when you're tied going into the bottom of the inning.

Classic "what if" game. I hate those.

Oh, and to top it off, I live in the Bay Area, and they are eating it up....the fact that the Angels lost to Oakland, Dodgers lost to the Giants, the Warriors have gotten the best of the Lakers and now face the Clips, and the Sharks/Kings face off in the 1st round of the playoffs. I'm sick of it.

LA teams need to man up in the next couple of weeks.

I'd disagree that Beckett pitched well and "deserved" a win. He kept battling, and that was good. But somehow managing to get out after 5 innings with no runs after loading the bases twice, hitting a batter, committing an error... There was a good amount of luck in that.

You deserve a win when you go 7 innings and control the other team.

I don't know if it's because I have more shit on my mind...not having the Dodger channel...or what...but it's really difficult to get amped up these days for the games. I think the length of these games takes a lot out of it too. It's difficult to watch an entire game when they consume so much time. The pace of these games make it nearly impossible.

Not on the that Dodgers compact thing they do where they run the whole game in like 45 min.
I watched the last dbacks game like that and it seemed like they kept hitting to trumbo to see him mess up.
    It was very funny.

trumbo in the of makes me appreciate Kemp more
Team will be unstoppable when they put Kemp and puig at corners with young joc up center.

    Dee
    Puig
    Han
    Matt
    Adrian
    Uribe
    joc/ethier
    Catcher
    Pitcher

More van slyke as backup Kemp.
Either can move to James loney duty.
Maybe back up Adrian some more.
Can they trade crawford to orioles for any catcher that can put ball in play even if they eat half contract.

I'm guessing crawford gonna end up as the Dodgers dh for interleague.

If we don't fix our defense and bullpen problems we will have issues. I know it's early but we can't seem to hold big leads or little leads for that matter. For a bullpen that is the highest paid in baseball they sure aren't living up to the bill.

Bring back paco and League just needs to be DFA'd already. Who gives a shit if they still have to pay him. It's either pay him to sit on the bench and/or blow/lose games or pay him to sit at home and not have any affect on any dodger game in the future. For fucks sake they are still paying Andruw jones for making a mockery of himself so I think they can absorb leagues contract too. Make a choice FO.....the right choice.

I really don't get keeping League. He's proven he's not worth the money we gave him. Cut the chord. Money should not get in the way of fielding the best team possible, and League is not a part of that equation.

I love GG and all they've done, but they seem really bull-headed when it comes to stuff like this. They don't want to admit their mistake. It's just one, and I guarantee none of the fans will be pissed if you get rid of Brandon League.
