A win is a win but once again our 8th and 9th innings guys did their best to make it interesting. Let's go back to the magic castle and continue to beat the dbags like a drum.

3 one-run games that could have all gone either way, so I guess we should feel fortunate to come away with at least a win?

Our offense needs to pick up. On paper that's where we have the advantage over the hated ones. But really, shame on both teams for not scoring more with the pitchers in this series.

the team is playing hard just not very skillfully. lots of sloppy stuff still going on.
thats some early season and a lot poor preparedness imo.
bochy's guys don't make mistakes, they capitalize on the mistakes of others.
and as vin pointed out, wtf w the defensive indifference to the runner in the ninth?
this is the coaching "style" of dbb so i guess i'll have to get used to it.
just like to see us coming from ahead instead of behind on some of this stuff.

It took two really spectacular plays to hold onto this victory, and another Ryu gem. But we did it.
I think it really must stop, when you are a pretty poor fielding team like us, that the manager makes moves that can easily lose close games for the team. That's not what he gets paid for....sometimes his basic instincts are so off, like last night, he makes you scratch your head. WTF is he thinking?
I'm glad that Fedex contributed in this, finally... but damn, it was a bad way to go after the K/WP by trying to backhand it the way he did. Vinny usually comments on that, but it got by him. I know Fedex is tired by then, but it's BB o1. As Vinny said, "only Bench could do it consistently".
That , and DBB's mystifying "indifference" move, are things that are so basic, it makes you wonder how a border line HoF does that shit. So odd.
The team is what it is, but it's overall strength is lessened considerably by these "basic" flaws, IMO.
    But nice W. No broom.
Now, stay tuned for the Easter weekend donnybrook, I think.
