If the Dodgers go to the post season this year and win it all you douche bags won't give don mattingly any credit. If they win two you will lick his boots and I will call all you douche berries out.
Sorry Boo . They cannot win the World Series with that idiot in charge. Will never happen. They somehow manage to win games despite his idocy.
I won't speak for anyone else, but if DBB takes the time through a WS Championship, I'll happily eat every crumb of crow there is. I'm just sick and tired of almost.
yet again, everybody who is so caught up in beating teams with winning records and how it matters so much... please explain last year then?
Maybe I'm wrong about this, but from what I can tell, people are bringing up not being able to beat good teams as a sign that this team doesn't have any heart? It's what I've felt these last few years. There was never much fight in them, while teams like the Giants and Cardinals, who although lucky, also battle every at bat. I agree that in the playoffs, anything can happen, but at least in these past two playoffs, this team has shown to give up after being down a few, trying to play hero ball instead of taking smart at bats to get themselves out of a hole. idk if that translates into what everyone keeps on saying when they mention not beating good teams. That's just my takeaway from it.
Kemp's gone, but what about his homer in Game 2 last year after the Cardinals came back in the 8th inning?
Hmmmm....let me think.....A BETTER MANAGER LIKE BOCHEY? Isn't this fact the point of this tread? When it counts, a good manager knows what to do against teams they have no righg to win a series against. Did you honestly think that the '88 Dodgers had any chance of winning the NL series against the Mets with the lineup we had?
Boo, absolutely freakin wrong analogy. Okay, so what is your challenge if Donnie fails again? Nothing? Will you advocate for Dum Dum's firing? Great, then commit to that.
First, I don't see Mattingly being fired anytime soon. Friedman didn't pass on getting Joe Maddon just to can Mattingly 2-1/2 months into the season the moment we slip into 2nd place. Second, I don't really see what Mattingly has done recently to warrant being fired. Gonzalez and Kendrick have been hitting poorly for the past month and we are averaging 2 runs per game. I don't see a lineup decision or pulling a AAA pitcher too early/late from a game as being our fatal flaw. I'm also of the opinion that the FO has some collaboration/say in decisions that we are blaming solely on Mattingly. Losing sucks and I think we are all just fussy.
Just popped in to remind you that it means very little to have a poor record against "above .500 teams" in the regular season. You guys will never be happy. Had an above .500 record against the Giants and Cardinals last year, and they were still "spineless, heartless fucks" to you guys.
a poor record against >.500 teams is one thing but getting utterly dominated by your two main nemesis is quite another
If the Dodgers won 97 games and lost every single game to the Giants and Cardinals in the regular season, AND get home field throughout the playoffs, I wouldn't care. Not in the slightest. Clean slate. 0 wins 0 losses.
