Guys this is the year the Marlins win the World Series.

    Fernandez.
    Stanton.
    Wild card.
    The Giants.
    The Cubs.

It'll be '03 all over again just with less Yankees.

So as of rn Seager is 4th in the league in fWAR at 5.7. Trout leads the league at 6.5.
Seager is on pace for 8.1 wins
Plus he's barely 22 and that the next best player that is younger is 21 year old Nomar Mazara at 1.4 WAR

Oh and Kershaw STILL leads all pitchers at 5.5 fWAR.... 0.7 ahead of 2nd place

When Rich Hill and Kershaw come back our rotation is going to be killer down the stretch and in the playoffs.
Maeda as a 3 is right where he should be.
McCarthy still has time to put his control back together. Ryu to get back. Anderson and Wood too.
Norris is ready and Kazmir has a 50/50 shot of giving you a top notch performance anytime out there.
As much hate as Kaz gets he has earned every bit of his salary for this year.

He could come back in the playoffs. If we need him for a day.
My point is that we are deeeep, and since not all the players that are on the roster for the first series necessarily have to be the ones in the following series it gives us a huge advantage over other teams.
We could blow someone out knowing that we have another pitcher just as good ready to take their place. This works well with the bullpen.
Like we could sit Kike and other left handed specialists until we have to play the Giants and then put them on the roster.
Sure every team can do stuff like that, but not every team has so many guys that have proven themselves over the course of the season.
We got Toles a guy who came up and hit for a good stretch hitting .300 sitting in the minors.
Segedin just came up and is doing well but may be sent back down eventually.
Urias, DeLeon and a bevy of other pitchers.
    Then there is Puig.
Puig could be this years Kirk Gibson, while not injured like Gibson he is still not a guy the team is counting on for a different type of reason.
The Anti-Gibson who could have the same type of impact on the team.
Imagine we go up against the hated Giants and we bring him up to start in RF when facing their lefties since Reddick sucks horribly.
And the game is a pitching war that goes down to the 9th and Puig comes in and blasts a towering solo shot to win the game/series?
Scully would have a field day with that material. The fans would go wild. The media would be all over it. All would be forgiven.
And what if he did something like that in the World Series?
    Superstar again.

Wow...you can't even say his name in vain?
Like he's diety status now...far out.
I am converting to a Kershawlic myself.
I used to be Catholic, worshipping uh...the god Cathol, I guess it was.

Wow...I wasn't lying...just never knew. Thanks for setting me straight.
Makes sense, though...never came across any info on the god Cathol...but there are plenty of alcholic cats, as we all know...
I asked the mother superior in my school once about Cathol, and she told me to shut up and sit down.
