It's whatever, I think the difference in performance between the two is insignificant enough to go either way, but if they ended up both in LA i'd put dempster starting game 2 of the nlds.
When asked for his thoughts on the possibility of picking up Ryan Demster, James Loney was quoted as saying, "Sheeit, maybe to pitch batting practice."
In really don't get this one....Dempster was never on the Giants or Angels , right? Why get him? I also have a sinking feeling that if this does come to fruition, we are going to be very pissed off and disappointed at who Ned gives up to get Dempster. Wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth type.
I think Bills and Chad is a very good comparison actually. An argument can be made either way, I'd probably take Dempster because I think in Dodger Stadium his ERA would be lower because his HR/FB is 4% higher than Chad's. Either way, Chad is a 2, and Dempster is a 2. I'd take Dempster in a heartbeat.
WTF? But yeah, you are right. Comparing Bills and Ryan...the guys are overlooking two factors. Bills pitches in a better park and in a far better division for pitching. Dempster has to battle the Wrigley wind and the NL central parks with the rampant roid usage in St. Louis and Milwuakee.
didn't want to say anything but thats what mrs. darth told me in confidence. i mean, when you think about it what else could it be?
We don't have enough pieces for Hamels... and would you really want the Phillies to get 3-4 of our top pitching prospects when we could just easily sign him in the offseason? I already feel like we'll get Hamels, but if Philly trades him, we WILL 100% get Cole Hamels.
