Dear god..Puig to Giants would be outstanding
    That clubhouse
For him to end up there would be so crazy..like if Danny Ainge had been traded to the Lakers in the 80's

That OPS stat is rather anomolous.. and interesting.

I worry that back injuries at 26 is not a good sign of longevity and a productive career

    say whaaaaaaaat?

booger picker is not even close to a good teammate either but that's all we need is Puig going to the fay area and regaining his .320 stroke.

nah if we trade him then trade him to the boonies... not the damned fay area where we'd have to deal with him constantly.

(otoh, we'd just pitch him wide and watch him swing wildly for giggles)

if Crybaby (Danny) Ainge had been a Laker back in the 80's I might of comitted a party foul and wasted a cerveza on his head. As it was when they played us the Celtics had a whole phlanx of 'guards goons' stand behind their bench at the Forum just exactly to stop my wicked intentions.

    Hated that whiny ass crybaby.

I don't even give a damn about Cueto there, he's probably opting out after this season, overrated anyway
I'm just talking about Puig going to the Giants..that level of antagonist switching over to the rival is Rodman joining the Bulls after years of kicking their ass with the Pistons
But even then Rodman had a stop with the Spurs, so it wasn't directly to the Bulls
Hopefully, this FO isn't afraid of sending Puig somewhere in the division..that .320 stuff is gone, been gone
I might even be overstating what Puig going to the Giants means though, or overrating it..Puig hasn't really kicked their ass, hasn't won a title while doing it

Puig needs another stint in AAA IMO... get his head straight again

    Downgraded version from champions Ainge/Rodman
It's hard to find a direct comp, or at least takes a little work/thought
Maybe like Patrick Beverley being traded to the Thunder and having to team with nemesis Westbrook?

Puig's actually been playing pretty well in June, has a .294/.402/.588 line, and so this is exactly the time you wanna sell him.
Of course moving him when he sucks isn't ideal for the potential return.
But the in-house options are there, got a couple guys in Verdugo and Thompson that can take RF.
Still not sure if Verdugo can finish a season strong, but why not give him a go?

Yeah, gotta hate those tape measure HR's (.294 5 12 this month) and elite defense that saves runs....

....almost as much as getting leftover meatloaf when you know mom just bought corn dogs....

Puig actually is having a decent season. Not great, but not bad either. His WAR puts him at 8th in the NL, but it has been trending upward these past few weeks. I've noticed better quality ABs, where he's not swinging at pitches outside of the zone as often and taking more walks. As a result of being more selective, we've seen a bit of a power surge. He's 2nd on the team in HRs, RBIs, stolen bases, and walks, primarily from the #8 spot in the lineup. If he sticks with what's working, I wouldn't be surprised to see his average and OPS continue to climb. (Of course, that's a big IF, because we've seen the lack of focus before).

If they ARE going to trade him, my guess is there's more value there now than at the beginning of the season. But at the same time, keeping him for now might play out nicely.

Did I really just say that???

    This stat is simply absurd:

ABs per HR - top 10

    13.0 - Springer
    12.7 - Alonso
    12.5 - Smoak
    12.5 - Schebler
    12.3 - Thames
    12.2 - Gallo
    12.1 - Bour
    11.4 - Morrison
    10.0 - Judge

    9.0 - Bellinger

Id rather keep puig and trade Joc. Been watchin the last few games and each time a ball is hit into the OF, between Joc and Puig, they both almost hit each other with Joc not calling anything and then glaring at Puig. That crap needs to go. Trade Joc for pitching.

Check out Thompson's AAA numbers. Not exactly tearing it up.

Two block heads......the only people who know who's calling for it are the players involved.

agree on some of puig's ab's
especially when he goes back up the middle or the other way [no homo reference]
said it before... when he uses all fields, he becomes a much more valuable/dangerous hitter

    Ryan Braun hates this.
