The Mets supposedly have made a significant offer to Trevor Bauer according to Boob Nightengale. It’s believed to be under Cole’s AAV, which Boob first reported it was the highest AAV to date and seems to have since retracted. The Dodgers have been said to still be kicking around on a short term deal, but Bauer may not be interested in that.

There was a rumor early on that the Dodgers were only interested in Turner as a DH option just due to where his legs are at. If there is no DH it could really force the team to give him multiple days off a week which may not work with what he may want financially.

Been reading a lot of reports this offseason and everyone seems to think the same thing about Rios, he showed he could handle the 3B position, but he is nowhere close to what you want out there everyday. The round assumption too is he probably isn't what you want on a first division team as your DH either. I've felt he has done nothing but impress, it just seems that maybe the Dodgers don't think that way or they're just really worried about being too lefty dominant. Right now the infield is probably all lefties with Muncy, Lux, Rios and Seager, plus Taylor rotating in and around the diamond. They have the spot for Turner, they just don't likely feel he is going to be out there enough to be worth what he will cost.

Another thing that has come out is the Dodgers are said to be once again planning on giving Lux 2B out the gate.

 

Realmuto/Phils, 5yrs/$115M

 

Not a bad deal for the #2 projected hitting catcher in 2021 according to Fangraphs... really hope #1 pans out as they have Will Smith at that spot. Though they have his games played way behind Realmuto.

 

According to Heyman, Turner is now down to his final 4. The Dodgers and Blue Jays which has been widely reported as well as now the Brewers and supposedly a 4th MYSTERY TEAM are in the running. A report earlier said the Dodgers are optimistic that they will get something done with Turner.

 

Semien on a one-year deal to the Blue Jays for $18 mil. I wonder if that takes them out of the running for Turner?

 

Would have to guess so unless they want him for DH, which they def could.

I think she's coming back to CO. I believe all her family is here and I would not be shocked if Chris is as well. She mentioned that she wanted to be close to family again, so that's my guess.

 

There's a report that Arte Moreno is pushing hard for the Angels to land Bauer. I seriously do not see us even considering him at this point.

 

Sorry to see this babe go..Not only was she a pleasure to look at, she was a skilled interviwer...never stayed overlong at one guy, and asked pertinent questions. Smart.
Reading further about her, the organization to save dogs she started is something I find inspiring and honorable.
