You know what’s funny, all that I’ve wanted for years was to just win 1 world series, and I truly feel like that would change how I root/follow this team for the better. Just 1 and I’ll be happy. I’m sure the glory would ware off after time, much like many posters here I’m sure can speak to since they’re just as hungry for another title as us youngins, but holy shit would it feel like the biggest weight has been lifted off our shoulders. I’m sick of things being the same. Us having to watch some other team celebrate against us, our best players not showing up, bad luck, etc. I just wish things would be different for once in my damn life of being a fan of this team. Hoping that these guys can surprise us.

I’m the kind of guy everyone loves to give shit to, because I give it straight back and am a legit asshole. I get a hard time about my loser baseball team all the time. This year, however, everyone is so nice and rooting for my team to win. Got a lot of text messages and Facebook messages this whole series. The somber messages tonight really have got me down. Kind of wish I had kept my fandom low key this last decade, everyone feeling sorry for me. This was supposed to be my moment, and had already put money aside for a huge party when we won. The team simply won’t let it happen, so fuck them.

On the bright side I actually turn this shit into a positive. You think I’m sleeping tonight? Fuck that, about to hit the gym and channel the rage positively. Put in an overtime stint at work, going to be a great pay. I never used to be able to do this, and wasn’t a pleasant man to be around. From reading the previous posts I would suggest something similar. It’s not the kids fault Kershaw sucks dick. It’s not the Mrs fault Broxton is dressed up in a Kenley Jansen disguise. It’s not your fault, and there’s nothing you can do about it. I would suggest not letting these losers dictate your life like they used to do mine. They’re not fucking worth it.

I’m kinda hallucinating right now, but like it’s been said before, imagine if these losers can finally pull it off. By some miracle, Hill and Darvish exorcise their past and demonds and pull through. Turner can say an emphatic “FU” to the people that dumped him in the past. Puig can say “FU” in Spanish to whomever he wants. Belli can prove a rookie can make the difference. And Taylor, Barnes, and Culbertson can say they made a difference.

What a great story that would be.

I understand this broadcast desire to make the theme about some scrappy theme and a hurricane, but we got some stories here too.

How special would it be for Vin to be there at game 7 to see one more.

The Astros came back at home from down 3-2. Why can’t this happen to us for a change????

i disappeared [from here] after the astros went up 11-9 or whatever it was
i still watched the game but i already knew what the ultimate outcome would be
    i've come to a realization...
we will never win another world series
whatever the "it" is, we just don't have it
this series should already be over
we could/should have won game 2 and the same with today
whether it's our shithead manager making asinine moves or our supposed ace melting down yet again, we're destined to fail
for the first time tonight i actually thought "this shit isn't worth it"
i mean it's cute being a fan april-september, but the annual disappointment thereafter sucks ass
it's like god, fate, whatever has been trying to to tell us that but we're just too fucken dense to get it
i can say fuck baseball, fuck roberts, fuck kershaw, fuck the dodgers, but who's fault is it really?...
mine, for being so fucken stupid and gullible to think we were actually capable of pulling this off
    shame on me

Weirdest fucking game of my life, and I'm feeling everything from depressed to pissed off.

We don't play smart baseball: Joc stares at a fair ball to see if it's a HR, we try to bunt a guy over to 3B in the middle of what is clearly a shootout, and our 3B coach says "Go go go!" which the runner thinks is "No no no!" like a bad plot line from a buddy-cop comedy.

I'm convinced something is up with the balls. No pitcher on either side had any movement whatsoever. There were probably 10 strikeouts looking on each side that were called outside the zone, yet it was also a 13-12 game? Those two things don't make sense together. That ballpark is also a fucking joke, and I have to assume Houston's league leading offense is an exaggeration as well. Also, what's the point of a retractible roof if you leave it closed when the weather is frickin perfect?

Screw baseball and screw this team. If we played smart baseball and Houston was just better that would be one thing, but fuck I don't really know who is better. Their team is full of a bunch of posterizing cheerleading bitches, and our team is full of a bunch of dimwits who lose focus every other inning. If either team could get their shit together the series would be over by now.

So it's simple. Now we just go home and win game 6, then game 7. I guess Rich Hill is our ace, so that's good news; but we have also screwed Hill over in ways I didn't even know were possible. How will we screw over Rich Hill on Tuesday in a losing effort?

I appreciate this forum, we all need a place to vent. And that game was stupid.

The Marwin Gonzales HR and the inability to get a runner in from 3rd with only 1 out which happened 4 times in the last 2 losses. We fought for the home field advantage so it's all on the team to come thru and win it!!! NO excuses no alibi's!!! PUT UP OR SHUT UP TIME!!!!

Too much shit to sort out from last night, but your pitching is in total collapse when you score 12 and lose. Give our guys a ton of credit for continuing to come back. Not sure what to expect Tues and or Wed.

Fuck that Little League ballpark, too and fuck whoever Crawford is. A couple of those HRs (especially Puig's) were jokes.

#1 on my fuck list are walks. No defense for 'em.

    It's been said but

    We scored 12 runs

    With Kershaw on the mound

    In the World Series

    AND LOST

    I just can't...

Just need Tuesday. Win game 6 and I believe we win game 7.

We are a great home team and I believe Darvish would redeem himself if given the opportunity.

Astros are 2-5 on the road this postseason and needed uncharacteristic chokes by Kimbrel and Jansen to get those wins.

I'm tired of feeling miserable about this series. The Dodgers just need to win 2 games in a row at home to be WS Champions....I would sign up for that any season.

An all time classic series adds an ump who thinks he's Enrico Palazzo. Smh
Feels like there's no hope after that game, maybe only that an all time series like this has to end in a Game 7, but I have no fuckin clue how they get to a Game 7.
Maybe, just maybe, Rich Hill will finally get to toss the complete game he's always whining about?

Roberts sounds so savvy and logical in the post game interviews, and his mellifluous voice exudes knowledge and confidence to the lay baseball fan.
But in reality, amidst the smoke and shrapnel down there, he is a mediocre commander at best.
The "who is he going to use instead of Morrow" narrative, is not only obvious, it's prudent, when an overused and fatigued pitcher is brought in, instead of anybody else used not as often, much less. His overuse and unrealistic expectations from the bp will be part of his legacy forever. His defense at the end of the game was perhaps by necessity, but not strong at all considering the HOU RH lineup. Ethier's arm was once quite formidable, but not these days. No.
I will say, that choking is a possibility from every player that has ever wore a ML uniform.
But our two " best there is", SP and RP (which probably won't change still, given their regular season numbers), are classic examples of just those type of players.
We still have a chance, and we will have to beat their best...we'll see if the Dodgers are up to it.
But we still have the same guys throwing the ball.

To play two "classics" as described by the media outlets and lose both of them is something that'll stay in my head forever if we lose this series.

Not only that, but Kershaw/Jansen are the two best Dodgers pitchers I've seen in my lifetime and they are to blame for us being down 2-3 instead of celebrating a 4-1 win. We can point fingers at Dave all we want, but it's up to our best players to perform. We were in position to win game 2 and game 5 if Jansen and CK do their job...what more can you ask for? Dave got put in a tough position with the pen last night thanks to CK shitting the bed on the big stage for the 100th time. For him to fail to go 5 after he got 7 runs of run support is weak and pathetic. The Dodgers have the same problem they had back in 08/09 when they were trotting out Derek Lowe for game 1. They lack an ace in the postseason. CK has never been that guy in the playoffs and it's clear that isn't changing.

If we do go on to lose this series, I think I am taking a break from sports for a long time. Why invest so much energy and emotion into something that always ends horribly?

Sit through another 162 games just to hope we can get in a spot like this again? No thank you.

I'm with TB. Win or lose (definitely lose) whatever happens this series I'm taking a step back from this. This regular season was the least I've ever watched, had a busy summer and the fact that we were up 20+ games by July made it easier to just watch condensed games or follow along on my phone. I just don't have it in me anymore. I don't enjoy it when they win nearly as much as it kills me when they lose. Meh. Wish it was tomorrow to get this over with.

Literally had nightmares last night. The game replaying over and over in my head. Still having hope that it wasn't real and we still had a chance. The high of winning will never match what we feel when we lose. Vrp hit it on the head

It was the closest thing to Enrico Palazzo since Livan Hernandez's game. Horribly bad.

Pretty damn atrocious, but I still don't excuse Kershaw because he had a 4 run lead and didn't take advantage of a shitty ump. Palazzo giving extra-generous corners..take what he's giving. Kershaw's inability to maneuver and deviate from his textbook style is his downfall every time. Kershaw is no cat burglar..he's a choir boy. Verlander is an outlaw.
