    I would assume a contract like his for a player like him has a no trade clause. Last year, there was talk of him coming here after he was put on waivers, but he doesn't want to play in Los Angeles. If he has that clause, they can't force him to play here.

    That could be the reason too. But I'm pretty sure he's adamant about not playing in Los Angeles.

    Anything can happen, but if he doesn't want to be here, I see no point. He's a great player, but you wonder how his performance will be if he's unhappy here.
