Vintage...would like to have seen him for more innings, but get the 70 pitch limit, of course. Everything working, even though the SD broadcast had his "tendencies" down pat for " keys to the game", his stuff was so good, it mattered not. Not much working offensively though, unfortunately.
Maybe a hint of an anomaly, considering the LA lineup these days, but that kid Lamet was making mincemeat out of one after another hitter who were a part of a powerful juggernaut not too long ago. Some of his pitches appeared hittable, but obviously weren't. The kid is third in MLB ( or fourth) in lowest BA allowed in the second half.
not sure but i think this is the last year for spazmani and i just can't figure out his BA but yeah i'm all for barnes/farmer or whoever going forward as much as i like it when el es en fuego
i saw a kid throw the game of his life and still get beat looks to be legit movement but what do i know?
Loved this show, these comedians, this character in particular. Hardly ever catch them in anything else though...have no idea why. They were as talented as the old SNL people, imo, just not first
Get a guy like Honeycutt working with this kid, and you got sumpin', brudda. If. Does he lose to many other pitchers with that game if he doesn't draw CK?
Los Angeles Dodgers [92-41] @ San Diego Padres [59-75] 2B Logan Forsythe (R) C Austin Barnes (R) SS E. Hernandez (R) 1B Cody Bellinger (L) RF Yasiel Puig (R) 3B Rob Segedin (R) LF O'Koyea Dickson (R) CF Alex Verdugo (L) P Brock Stewart (L) Brock Stewart saying "why me?" Maybe Dave thinking he'd go with a AAA lineup to go with his AAA pitcher against a AAA team.
I think Cody will play tonight too, he's been slow to get his hit groove back. The fact that it's a lefty starting is why this is what we got.
forsythe leading off game hasn't started yet and there's already 1 out good news though... he took 5 pitches before ultimately striking out [looking of course]
