Ned might deserve one for trying to get fatfuck Carlos Lee. In hindsight, thet would've sucked ass. Glad the fatfucker didn't want to win.

I'm saying going after him in the first place. I give him credit for not caving though.

Well, Depster is better than Blanton at this time. Glad we didn't cave though.
We almost ended up with Dempster, Soriano, and Fat Lee.
Instead we got Victorino, Gonzalez, Blanton, Beckett, and Crawford.

I want to give the DOTD award to Adrian Gonzo if he is not in the starting lineup for me saturday night.

He needs to already be in bed in L.A. at this moment.

The Braves should get about 10 votes for losing to Zito and Vogelsong who have been awful lately. Looks like Atlanta could be on their way to another collapse, so if all else fails we will be in position for a 1 game playoff if we play well

This is absolutely right. Was talking about this to my son last night. In a strange way, Frank is the creator of it all, and the impending TV rights.
Everyone should thank Frank for his compulsive greed, avarice, mendacity and overall douchebaggery. If he was any part the owner we all wanted him to be (and maybe even tried to be first off), we would not be in this situation today; with money up the ying yang to spend and waste on shit like Beckett,Crawford and the likes of Punto because we want Gonzalez... there is no trade without Agon. None. A waste of time. I hold no hope for a "resurgence " of both Beckett and Crawford for any sustained amount of time. They are not Hanley Ramirez caliber.
The team didn't get any younger, BTW, and some of our best chances to become so are now gone.
But Agon at 1b will look nice, and the evil Loney is now in Beantown.Where guys his color don't usually fair so well. His only shot is to play well, and get a contract somewhere else, but no one cares anyway. I do wish him well, faggot that I am.
And depending on Bills' elbow, I guess even the likes of Beckett will be needed big time. the rotation without a strong Bills is not inspiring to me; maybe I'm alone. After CK, the hot/cold likes of Harang and Capu are not too solid IMO. then it's Blanton and I guess Beckett. As Vin said last night during a Giant period of waxing, their pitching "ain't like eveybody else-trust me"... he's right.
I'm figuring that it can't get worse than Blanton; it's like a Uribe situation.
If you pick up a lame guy with one eye, can it be worse than zero?
