Kazmir's delivery looks weird. Like he's trying to aim it. Not that I know anything..just saying though.

    Heaney would be our #2
Hard to see how we tossed him so quick for a guy we didn't even want to sign

"I hope everyone picks the Giants and Diamondbacks to win the division. So the Dodgers can kind of just find their identity...they seem to be struggling to find that right now...and hopefully the Dodgers sort of come from behind a little bit and have a monster second half. "

Curve was biting good. Didn't see much of it either, though.

He was locating fine. No speed to his pitches but he was hitting locations and getting ground balls.

A guy who locates really really well, but throws 85 could be Greg Maddix I guess...but nah. Not too many Gregs.
So, I guess we'll see...I certainly am not a Kazmir expert, but wasn't pretty good velocity part of his A game?

Maybe just the innings I caught but his velocity looked fine to me. 89-91 fastball that would hit 92. His cutter was the one hitting 86-88 which freaked me out cause it looked like a fastball but was his cut

before his injury sure, but had to adjust to a more control oriented game over the past few years. He's not Greg, I personally am excited more for maeda but kazmir also isn't schmidting it up either. I saw him hit 92 last night. His velocity is declining, he's also into his 30's. But I think this velocity thing is a bit overblown. Guy can still pitch if healthy. He'll just always be a source of frustration and getting the finger pointed at him because he had to replace Zack.

Why is everyone so low on the Dodgers? I really don't get it. 3 straight divisions, top farm system, great major league roster, depth, etc.
Are these ESPN guys really smart and I'm just stupid?

At least some other sites like us.

Primary issues that I hear from these guys is no guarantees with the SP lineup except for Kershaw, while Giants and D-Backs improved theirs. BP has slight improvement but maybe not enough to overcome the SP issue.

And finally health. But that really is every team's issue.

Think it's cause there's a huge perception that Dodgers got much worse and the Giants/DBacks much better. There's some truth to that but, also, it discounts the initial gap between the Dodgers and the rest of them.

Hope we destroy the division but they'll just say "oh well of course, cause of the money!"

    Bunch of fucking retards.

I honestly think these people don't do much research. I think most just see the Dodgers lose Greinke and think that's automatically makes them ~ 7 wins worse or whatever. Fucking dumb.

Dodgers have the best club in the division. Period.

Because it's not sexy. Too be honest, we have some really huge question marks throughout our roster and already have injury problems before the season, so people see that and factor that in. The reality is we also have the depth and financial resources to overcome those problems arguably better than any other team in the league. So no, these ESPN guys are not smart. Most of them make their picks by gut and hunches. FWIW, one the most numbers oriented guy at ESPN, Tristan Cockroft, picked the Dodgers.
