Couldn't catch much of the game. Didn't seem like Kershaw was as on as usual, but whatever, a win is a win. Matty's been so good at the plate since the ASB. Hope he keeps it up through the playoffs.

Milwaukee, as they are the first team outside looking in. The number 6 comes from the brewers having 72 losses, meaning they can win as many as 90 games, and 6 more Dodgers wins would give them 91.

Sio Moore is OK. Roach is a stop-gap and yes, Burris is a dud. Burris needs to be pass rush only. Antonio Smith still has a lot left in the tank. Tuck is a bum, as is Woodley. Branch is average. Tarell Brown is average. Rogers is doo-doo. they need Shelby Harris and Justin Ellis to pan out and at least be solid.

the whole O-line is garbage right now other than Wiz II. Jackson and Watson are the only one worth keeping around along with Wiz. Reece needs to move to either tight end or tailback already. Murray may be worth keeping around. McFadden's time is up after this year, as is Denarious Moore's. James Jones is solid, as is Streater.

a lot of holes to fill, including head coach and possibly GM, but if Carr shows promise and maturity and Mack WoWs, they might be able to pull Gruden away from ESPN IF they turn the keys over to him and let him pick the players. you have to have a solution at QB and a stud pass rusher to get any good coach's attention.

oh and i'll add..watch Detroit's situation with Ndamakong Suh very closely. Suh's franchise tag # is like 25 million and Detroit is fucked with their cap. Raiders have more cap flexibility than the Lions and will likely be able to pay him more. if the Lions don't trade Suh to somebody that has the space for him, Raiders might be able to get him in free agency. if the Raiders nab Suh and have a solid draft in 2015, they could be a lot better next year. but let's hope McKenzie doesn't trade a bunch of picks for Suh. if McKenzie can get Suh in free agency, that might save his job..if he still has the job by then, that is. Suh just signed with Jay Z, so he's definitely looking toward free agency.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Lions are willing to let walk-year DT Ndamukong Suh reach the open market next offseason.
Per Rapoport, the Lions want an "informed" Suh to "sign a deal he’s happy with." It's a bizarre tact, one that would all but assure Suh leaves as a free agent. Players of his caliber almost never hit the market. It's possible the Lions are simply tired of the Suh experience, but he's an irreplaceable presence up front. Jul 29 - 7:35 PM

Yeah, well I was thinking drafting a dline player in the draft, but if we could nab Suh in free agency that would be great, to go along with a hopefully future stud in Mack and hopefully Carr shows promise, so we won't need QB either. If all those things happened, we need a #1 WR bad in the draft if he's available or in free agency, we're going to have tons of money to spend this offseason, again.

Absolutely....the guy makes some of the worst moves there are. Has trouble putting logical scenarios together very often.
He said it himself "the pressure is on me...I definitely should win with this team they've given me to work with"...

This statement is true. Ned did shit all this trade deadline/waiver wire.[/quote]
And not only did he sit back and watch quite a few contenders make mega moves, his record of winning with us since November 2005, is non-existent. The real deal, anyway.
He is actually the winningest GM out there I believe, if you count his overall W/L record, which is great.
But he doesn't put teams together that get to the WS...and obviously, sure don't win any.
He's had a long tenure, about a decade to do it. After a while, no matter what his record is, you accept the fact that he's not a "brass ring" guy.
Some guys are good, have all the right numbers and the resume (he still made two of the worst moves in modern BB history, and many other ), but don't have the winner's touch. He might seemingly know what buttons to push, except the most important one, which is what it's all about.
And if it's because of this or that manager's shortcomings, not his you might say, that's his fault, too... he hasn't pushed that right button yet either. Yet. He signs them , too.
Maybe this is the year...I sure hope so.
We've waited long enough, I think.

i think we'll be fine @ wide out with Jones and Streater. what we need is for Reece to move to tight end or for Ausberry to finally be healthy and get going. we need some real options @ tight end. Rivera is OK, but nothing special. we have to draft that Left Tackle from Texas A & M Ogbuehi if it's possible. Carr has enough tools to stick if we have a new GM and/or coach, IMO. so i think our 1st pick is a LT, 2nd round pick is probably the best defensive back available..if we can get Suh..which at this point i'm predicting we will.

    Guys
Steiner is getting an insane amount of information wrong. He says the wrong score, baserunners, counts, amount of pitches, etc. In addition to being terrible in general, he gets basic stuff wrong every other sentence. He cannot be a broadcaster for us much longer. Just so bad.
