I appreciated that Wilson pitched well down the stretch in '13.

However it still didn't keep me from almost becoming ill every time I saw him in a Dodger uniform. His "look at me" act belongs in the circus.

I'm just as excited as everyone else over the possible ascension of Urias to the roster, but it seems awfully early, no matter what the situation, to bring this kd to the show. Of course, using him very sparingly is thecway to go I would imagine, but then why not wait sometime if his effect will be felt...kinda dangerous, imo.
    I hope I'm wrong.

I hated Wilson too, but didn't mind too much when he was getting outs. I always hated Jeff Kent on our team too, but a lot of people around here liked him enough.

It's weird because almost all current and former gnats are also douchebags who I feel like I would hate in general (odd coincidence?). Jeff Kent = douche. Brian Wilson = mega douche. Tim Lincecum = stoned, could-give-a-crap douche. Everyone on their current roster = douche. All their coaches = douche.

The latest report I've read on Lincecum is "Lincecum looks healthy and impressive! ... he just needs to work on building up his velocity and command...". Now I'm no expert at scouting pitching, but if you're only issue is you need to work on velocity and command, that sounds like a big deal. Honestly, I'm healthy and I can also imitate Orel Hershiser's windup... I just need to work on velocity and command.

He has to be better than Howell. I think he'd be an immediately upgrade if they use him right.

He's not even major league ready to pitch right now.

Haha, thought we were talking Lincecum, not Urias. I'm reading through posts too fast.

I'm all for bringing the kid up whenever.

I wasn't here when Wilson was signed but I can tell you that where I was there was a lot of negative in regards to his signing, just as there was when Schmidt was signed. Maybe you young guys can do the cum-by-ya thing with former Giants but I dare say to a man that no old time Dodger stalwart will stand by without spitting on the ground when their name is mentioned.

Wilson was a bit of good luck considering he was coming off a bad injury and we got him for cheap(initially). Giants clearly knew Schmidt was damaged goods and we got suckered on that deal because he was shit from the very start. We'll rarely see a former Giant available that can make a good impact on this team because the Giants simply aren't going to let us have that opportunity. However, if a guy like Hunter Pence ever became available for whatever reason, I would not give two shits that he played for the Giants because he would greatly improve our team. I can't stand that bug-eyed freak right now, but the Dodgers winning is what I care about the most and he'd clearly increase our chances of winning.

Now a guy like Bonds joining the Dodgers would have made me question my fandom. I vomit thinking about that, but a lot of players aren't invested in the rivalry like they used to be and mostly care about money. It sucks, but it's how things are nowadays. Greinke would have signed with those fuckers in a second if they offered more than Arizona.

Hunter Pence can go suck a bag of dicks. If he became a Dodger I'd buy one of his jerseys just to have something to piss on.

I'd have no issues with Pence, despite him being a total spaz.

If Bonds had become a Giant I'd have personally bought a gun for the soul purpose of killing Frank McCourt.

Grienke would have done it, but he didn't. He gets a bye.

I didn't think there was anyone more bitter towards the Giants than yours truly.

I like the way you think.

My hatred does have boundaries though.

I'm ashamed to admit, I admire Willie Mays the ballplayer.

I don't doubt that there were negative feelings toward Wilson when he was signed.
However, my point is that afterwards when he was dealing and helping shut teams down out of the pen the wins tasted just as good as before and the excitement level of having a solution in getting the ball to Kenley was as high as ever with fans.
A win is a win, it is what it is.
I know a lot of fans that hated Jeff Kent, but when he was playing well for LAD and helping them win the hate was pushed to the back because it's about the name on the front of the jersey and winning.
This is not a foreign concept, it's rather reasonable.

Pence might be best described as " Utley on meth ", definitely plays the game the way it's supposed to be played

Definitely not about to go down the list and give props to all the Giants and name all the guys I'd take on LAD, certainly not the goal
I wish the Padres would hurry up and just sign Lincecum, we all know it's coming

The ‪#‎WhiteSox‬, ‪#‎Angels‬ and ‪#‎Diamondbacks‬ are among teams known to have joined the San Francisco Giants with early interest in star free agent pitcher Tim Lincecum, who conducted the world's most-watched showcase by wearer of cargo shorts Friday.

The ‪#‎Padres‬ also are expected to be in the mix following the one-man tryout attended by the Dodgers, A's, Rangers, Astros, Marlins, Nats, Orioles, Astros, and many others.
