You should have done that anyways.

    You'd be a Dodger hero.

I'm not ashamed to admit admiring Willie Mays

any more than I'm ashamed to admit to NOT liking ANY current vaGiants.

Mays was a class act and an exception to all the damned vaGiants bullshit

    Timmeh.. not so much
    Pence.. not at all

Timmeh is Pig Pen...always was, always will be. Even when he is retired (perhaps soon) and overseeingnthe crops on his cannabis farm. Pig Pen.
And whether or not he will be any good for any team, any where all remains to be seen. Utley was a dirty cheap shot scumbag that played for another hated team...now he's a fucking Dodger hero.
But whether Lincecum sucks or not, he deserves credit for laying it out there and saying he wanted a one year contract to prove himself first, imo.
Shit, maybe he can get it up for the rest of the season, do PEDS, sign a bit of a contract, get caught, and of course, get suspended. Then everyone will think he's fucking extra cool.
    Here anyway.

    7yrs/175MM for Strasburg
Can't believe Boras didn't take him to the market, maybe it wasn't gonna look all that great for him?
    175MM is pretty great tho

I didnt want Cueto or Samardzjaaja. So I'm not gonna rip the FO and say they should've gotten those guys.

But I will say their bullpen and rotation experiments to date are an F minus.

And add a bat to the list of things we desperately need.

The only thing making me feel good about the Dodgers is how bad the rest of the NL West is doing, wow. The Giants back end pitching might be worse and more troublesome then the Dodgers and the DBacks are a mess. Even goldshmidt is struggling. Would be incredibly lucky for the Dodgers to have a slightly above average team in a year the whole division is down

I don't know about luck, AF and FZ made a point of mentioning strength of the division just about every time they commented/defended their off-season.
At the very least they seem to have had an inkling that the NL West was gonna be bad and that they could outlast the other bums.
Not all that hard to be confident in the latter when you have the #1 farm system and so much depth.

Right now, signing another starting pitcher who very well may not make it as a starter isn't a massive need right now. Sure Kazmir and Wood have been somewhat disappointments, but that doesn't mean jack shit if the offense can't get going. In Kazmir's last two losses, the team has thrown together a whopping two runs of support. Wood likely is on the verge of heading back to the minors since they seem to be tweaking with his mechanics before every start and Bolsinger is about ready to come back. Also, the only glowing reports I am seeing are from Heyman who is now an unemployed and has come off horribly as a Lincecum plant through all of this. The guys on MLB radio and network that have seen him said he looks the same as he did last season while I have seen a couple others that challenged those 91-92 readings saying he worked 88-90 and fell off in the second. So for him to get game ready, we are talking probably another couple weeks down the road. This teams problem right now is not the rotation, they need to get the offense going or get some fuckers up here that will. Turner, AGon, Puig, Seager, Crawford, Kendrick and Kikay are all fucking garbage right now. If these guys can't start to pull their heads out of their asses, it may be time to shake things up and make a strong run at Gurriel the elder ASAP.

And no offensive fix/spark is on the way up, not in the form of an internal move that'll spark them and help reach the overall goal of winning the WS this year.
But maybe like you said there at the end, sign Yuli Gourriel, you know I've been rooting for it.
Should invest in Lourdes as well

Yeah, I wanted to add that, but needed to run out the door. The farm's big impact players are tiered right now and before the season, it looked perfect for likely needs to fix potential weaknesses that could come up over the season. Tier 1: Impact players expected to be ready this year, Urias, De Leon, Cotton and Montas. Tier 2: Impact players potentially ready next season: Calhoun, Bellinger Tier 3: Two seasons from now, Verdugo, Diaz, Holmes. Obviously it is hard to project years down the road, but currently that is what things look like without more of an influx of foreign players as well as not knowing any breakthrough players. Obviously with prospects, nothing is certain, but was just really pointing out that the pitching is supposed to come this year, but the bats are all at least a year away so the team would likely be subjected to looking for help outside of the organization.
