Joc "playing it up for the camera" in his elation for Kike?
In a game that is sending your team to the WS for the first time in 29 years?
I wonder what that would get Joc? He's riding the pines, Kike is doing historical stuff...so Joc's joy is contrived? Camera time...a photo op? Lol.
One minute, he's seen as the fat kid eating too many candy bars and ice cream cups like a chubby pre teen...and the next, because he was flat at jumping for joy over a teammate's heroics, he's a calculating phony.
I guess it's that darn Dark Side again...

When is the GM held accountable for Washington's postseason failures?

Now, that's what I'm saying. Time to purge that roster and buck the cycle. Should've been doing that while bandaid Dusty was there, but maybe that'll be their direction this offseason? Perhaps they're about to shake up the clubhouse?

Or they could just continue the cycle of coming up short in DC..that sounds pretty good to me.
Red Sox just filled their manager opening..Detroit the same..how could they not grab the great Dusty? Lol
    FOH
Red Sox canned their guy who recently won a WS and was coming off back to back AL East titles..I believe the 1st time that Boston has ever won back to back AL East titles.
And we're spending all this time on Dusty..good luck to Cora in Boston with that wretched job.
I know Dombrowski wanted his own guy in there, but damn, that was cold

Friend in PA met our old friend Don and took a picture with him. He said that Don claims he is pulling hard for us to win the WS but I don't buy it.

Who wants to see their ex succeed?

Yeah, as we both know, like most other gigs, its a bottom line business and the gifted guys can get away with more. Hate'em..love'em..Theo just gets the job done.

As for the manager stuff..as fans we seemingly always want 1 answer and we want it right now..1 solution..its gotta be 1 guy's fault and a lot of times its just not that simple. Dusty got bumped 1st, but the offseason hasn't even started yet, so who knows what else they do? I don't even know that Rizzo was the guy who made the decision to let Dusty walk..or if Rizzo will be involved in the next hire. He may go too. DC may not even be trying to give Dusty the scapegoat treatment at all. Its too early to tell. I'm sure there's going to be player movement as well. I certainly don't think it was all Dusty's fault, but as always, he played his part.

There's always " the players do the playing, so its gotta be on them ", but the GM chooses these players and its obviously the manager's job to handle his business, so there's always enough blame to go around. Anyway, I do know that Boston just chose a manager with no managing experience at all over the great Dusty Baker..as did the Dodgers when both Dusty and Roberts were available before last season. And Detroit just went with Gardy. For an " all time great " Dusty certainly gets passed over his share of times. What happened with Boston's guy was a travesty.

But back to Theo, he had to know the LAD train was coming..he had to feel fortunate when Blanton let that bum take him on a ride last post season. That was a competitive series last year when the Cubbies were supposed to be a machine. With what LAD was able to do in the reg season + nab Darvish, I just can't believe that Theo was shocked. Mad about it? Sure, he's got his pride, but he was more than likely prepared for that ass whoopin. But then again, maybe Seager going down before the series gave Theo a little sliver of hope..I know that injury dashed many of ours..

Watching all the game highlights recently and while Joc may be fat as people are saying but he has been cheering the team on throughout the playoffs. Jumping out of the dugout and waving a towel furiously.

Congratulations to former Dodger Alex Cora on getting the Bawston job!!!! I'll forever like Alex but I will continue to root against the team. Still remember that at-bat when he fouled of something like 10 pitches and hit a HR. Good luck but not too much luck Alex!!!

    19, I think!
And the Mets now have a new one too! Mickey Callahan...his first words were, "may I be half as great as my idol, Dusty Baker"...

I'd say the Sox job is better than the Nats job because Boston's core is under control for longer. Think he made the right move.

I wonder why they would announce Cora becoming the next Red Sox manager a day before his current team plays in the WS.

It would seem like a distraction....not that I mind for the Dodgers’ sake.
