I think I was actively rooting for him to never get a hit

Probably waiting to see if Logan starts off cold again.
That way they can move Taylor back to the infield.

Is there a hot dog eating contest for a head start in the NL West coming I didn’t know about?

Hope he gets lucky amd does fairly okay offensively to try to trick a team to give us anything more than nothing. Yes he is bad at baseball but we only need to make the postseason. We have the best team, we should be able to overcome Kemp starting until June.

What’s the latest news on Seager’s elbow? I haven’t watched any preseason. How does he look?

Fantasy baseball mock draft: 10-team roto
ESPN Fantasy Baseball — 8 days ago

    Practice makes perfect.

You've heard it so many times it's beyond just a cliche, but it's as true in fantasy baseball as it is in many other disciplines. You have to practice your craft as a drafter if you want the best results. That's what mock drafts are for!

Mocks are an opportunity to get a feel for how a real draft proceeds, as opposed to just staring down live draft results (otherwise known as average draft position, or ADP) numbers. You might know the sleeper pitcher you like has an ADP of 165, but that doesn't mean you can let your 150th pick pass by without grabbing him and expect to get him with your next selection every time.

How soon do you practically need to reach for that catcher? When should you draft saves? Where do positions fall off in terms of quality options? These are questions you can answer for yourself by mocking early and often as you prepare for your drafts.

In our first mock draft of the season, ESPN's cast of fantasy analysts and editorial staff took the first step toward being ready for their upcoming drafts with a 10-team roto draft using ESPN's standard 25-man roster.

Who went where? Check out the full results below. For our experts' thoughts on the draft, click here.

The drafters for this mock: Joe Kaiser, AJ Mass, Eric Karabell, Damian Dabrowski, Pierre Becquey, Todd Zola, Kyle Soppe, Tristan H. Cockcroft, Ben Arledge and Leo Howell.

He's just DH'd then joined the sickness brigade so he hasn't really done all that much to judge off of yet.

Uh oh, Tom Koehler was removed from his appearance today due to tightness in his bicep... this would not be good.

Some of the guys they are talking about thus far in camp as impressing
    - DJ Peters has continued to show the improvement I was talking about in another thread that some prospect people had seen at the end of last season. Roberts talked recently about how hard of a worker Peters is. Now 5-11 on the spring with a HR.
    - Jake Peter has been really impressive early and he is getting plenty of opportunities to show what he can do. Quick bat was acquired in the Alexander deal and has been said to be working on adding more loft in his stroke. Clubbed his second HR in as many days today and is now 4-14 on the spring. I've been reading about a lot of people liking this part of the three team deal and that he still has some good upside, though he will start the year in AAA unless there is an injury.
    - Alex Verdugo also added a HR today and has shown early why he is considered one of the better hitting prospects in the game. He's been spraying a lot of line drives as always, while mixing in some nice defensive plays(today's blunder aside). Verdugo is expected to get the most AB's in camp this spring and thus far is 6-15.
    - Edwin Rios would probably be getting talked about more as a potential platoon/bench bat this spring if he weren't blocked by Cody Bellinger and Justin Turner on the corners. Probably needs more time to work in the OF on the corners, but his bat continues to impress. He has been making lots of hard contact and is now sitting 4-12 with a couple of doubles.

Koehler needing TJ would be a significant blow to the bullpen early on. Some speculation already that the Dodgers could call on Greg Holland, but naturally these are people that don't understand that the team is trying to stay below the tax. Only way they could do it is to move another piece and also workout one of those contracts that doesn't nail the AAV until the following season. The club has roughly $18m in room, but Kershaw and Maeda have reachable bonuses that the team has to account for.

The Koehler news is bad news. Anterior capsule strain in his throwing shoulder. Out for minimum a few weeks, but more likely a couple months. He’s already saying the target will be the stretch run.

Bullpens are so fickle so I understand why the front office doesn't want to overpay for bullpen arms. But I'm definitely concerned going into this season.
